Can't reset the base station (I have a spare base and have now brought that into use; but has the same problem). Philips suggest disconnect power (mains to base + batteries to handsets) for 5 minutes then reconnect, but it doesn't work. Base still shows a number of outstanding messages, which don't exist. Is there an internal reset button; or is this a permanent memory corruption problem?

This base station is mains powered - there is no evident removable battery (but there could be an internal fixed permanent battery to maintain the core memory settings - can anyone advise if this is the case and, if so, whether it can be easily disconnected and reconnected without causing internal damage?)
