I bought a Panasonic Viera 54" TC-P54G10. The delivery guys tested it and everything was working perfect so signed and they left. I went in to take a shower. whiles in the bathroom I heard a huge bang. It was my " Less than 30min old TV" facing down with a crack screen. I called Panasonic and they couldn't help only to tell me I should have purchased an "Accidental Damage Insurance". Meanwhile i had a warranty on this TV from them (Panasonic). Anyway, I can't just let a 54" TV i never watched go waste. So, I need to know where i can replace the broken screen or if someone is willing to sell the same model (TC-P54G10) with an electrical issue. Thanks
I have a 32" LCD philips flat sceen and at the very top of the screen and running all the way across the screen are colored lines,kind of like bar code lines but different colors and lengths.

This tv the LCD screen panel it shorted and dead.This tv can't be repair,only replaced the LCD screen panel.Not,worth replacing the LCD screen panel,because LCD screen panels are limited produced by the tvs industries and will cost same as a new tv,if the LCD screen panel require replacing.Sorry the tv now,only worth as a salvage tv electronic boards for parts only now.
Don't buy this tv.The tv LCD screen broken,the tv is junk now,not worth as a whole tv anymore.The replacement of the LCD screen,will cost the same as a new tv.The tv LCD screen panels are limited produced,by the tvs corporation.Will cost the same as a new tv,if require changing the LCD screen panel.

Sorry,no! Because the LCD screen is about 90% of the LCD tv.No where else u will find a LCD screen for sale.Except the tvs corporation themself,LCD screen it limited produce,so the will charge u the LCD screen replacement same as a new tv or even more after the labors and LCD screen replacement.Ur tv now it only can be salvage as for electronics boards for parts that it.Not worth as a whole tv any more.
Unfortunatly it is garbage basically.. You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new LCD. My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one.After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.
If you have a crack in the screen, NO the panel will have to be replaced, sorry to give you the bad news, even if the set is in warranty, Sony will not replace the panel if it is physically broken. The cost to replace the panel out of warranty is cost prohibitive.
Sorry, the screen can't be repaired. Only screen replacement at that point. The screen itself costs $350 minimal if you can find one for a good deal. And we're not talking about the labor costs involved.
At this point, it would be cheaper to buy a new TV.
Sorry to give you the down side of the TV screen.
