HOW I CAN CHANGE DSL TYPE

Not all of the modem has this settings, changing the modulation that your modem is using. You can simply check it from the modem page and look for the advance tab then check for the modulation option then you can select from the modulaiton for adsl stated there. you can choose from adsl, adsl2, adsl 2+ or g.dmt for adsl1.

I have Belkin N150 Rouer. My internet is Time warner. It has no connection between the modern and Belkin router. How can I set up Belkin N150 Router to solve this problem?

f the modem light keeps blinking, it means that the router hasn't been configured yet. Also, rarely, it can be an issue with WAN port/modem port on the router or the ethernet cable connecting the modem to router or finally, modem may not be working as its not applicable in this case(as you said).

1.Connect comp.--(gray port) router (yellow port)--modem
2.On the computer, open the router page by typing 192.168.2.1 in the address bar of browser

NOTE : IF YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IS CABLE FOLLOW THE BELOW STEPS

3.Under Internet WAN , SELECT the connection type as Dynamic.->NEXT
4.On the far left column, click on "MAC address" under Internet WAN.
5.Click on clone and apply changes and finally check Internet status
6.If internet status > Not connected, we need to do a network power cycle
7.For this, unplug the power from router, then from modem, then unplug the coaxial cable from cable modem.
8. Wait for 60 sec, then connect the coaxial cable, then connect power to modem, wait for lights on modem to get steady, then finally, plug in the power to router.
Now, you may see proper lights lit on the router.
All my best wishes for a fast internet service through the router.

FOR PPPOE OR DSL CONNECTIONS
1.Under Internet WAN , SELECT the connection type as PPPOE ->NEXT
2.ENTER THE USERNAME & PASSWORD PROVIDED BY YOUR IN INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER
3.CLICK ON APPLY CHANGES

For any advanced help, revert asap!
Thanks and regards,

7. Once your done on the internet setting, go to your wireless connection settings and you can create a wireless network name or ssid, set a security by selecting wep, wpa, wpa2.
8. once all is set. save the settings and to check if your laptop can access the wireless network that you did, turn on the wireless switch of your laptop, once its on, it will show the wireless network icon on the lower right of the taskbar, right click it and select on view available network, the network name that u did should list, just select it and connect and it will ask for the password, just type the password and connect, you should be connected to the wireless network and have internet access..
9. If you are going to hook up your desktop to the wireless connection, you need to install a wireless network adapter, install the driver and do the same thing as u did to the laptop, for the desktop no need of turning on the wireless switch, once you install the driver correctly, it will show a network icon..

I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is you modem? Who is the ISP? First you have to check if the internet is working when your pc is connected to the Ethernet port of the modem and not the USB port if there is any. check the ip address of the pc connected to the modem and make sure that the DEFAULT GATEWAY is not the same as 192.168.1.1. if the address is the same you have to change the linksys router ip address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1.

set the internet connection type of the linksys to obtain an ip. then save it.

switch off the linksys router then connect the modem to the WAN / INTERNET port. Plug the power adapter back in then wait for the lights to be stable. please note that the power light must be solid green. if it's blinking it's bye-bye to the router.
lastly check the internet if it's working.

Can't get connected to the internet

As usual technical dept in all ISP's are useless and unhelpfull especially if it's not a supplied modem. (p.s. the ip address they are going on about is probably your routers address and not the ISP's address) Anyway; you will have to get into your routers settings page, as you may have to set it up manually as I had to for a friend who is also with Tiscali as the router cannot obtain an ip address automatically from Tiscali. Make sure you are connected to the router via the RJ45 network cable (Normally Supplied)and then Normally you type in something similair to 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1(check your manual for this), in your internet browser eg internet explorer. Then go through the settings using the routers settings Wizard and manually input the following. Virtual Circuit Identifier - VCI38 Virtual Path Finder- VPI0 Encapsulation Mode VCMux Authentication Type CHAP Protocol RFC 2364:PPP over ATM (PPPoA) Modulation Type G.DMT or Auto Primary DNS Server 212.74.112.66 Secondary DNS Server 212.74.112.67 Save settings. Try accessing internet while you are still wired, if you can you know the ISP's settings are ok and you already know each PC can access the router, you should be away.
