I get "Error 102" when I try to use Google Chrome. It started right after I upgraded to a new version of Adobe Media Player. I tried clearing cookies, checked proxy settings, and my firewall (McAfee) is set to allow access to Chrome. Still doesn't work. Firefox works normally.

Here is why I receive this error:
When I had installed Google Chrome, I chose "not to participate to make our software experience better." I also do not use Google as my start page. What is happening is that the browser "phones home" against your choice and against your will, thus the error code. I have my firewall to block google.com and that is why I get this error, no matter what website I go to. Uninstall it and use Firefox, until Google respects your privacy.
Oh, and try it and you will see this is the truth. Block google.com with your firewall and
go to any website....you will not be able to use Google Chrome and you get that error - it
collects your personnel info. I had to use Firefox to post this. If you are comfortable with google tracking your web activity, by all means, use it.
Chrome is the latest version of googles internet browser designed for faster site browsing. The chrome obmits the several features of chats, advertisments, clocks, weather, blog pages and features that are inclusive with an entire package. The chrome is fast once dowloaded only required to search for sites or pages requested. Internet browsers require compartibilities to install. For example, google series of internet browsers requires to have downloaded one of the versions to acquire later the improved version. Chrome usually would be downloaded as an update to prior google internet browsers. Observe the available computer internet browser t accertain type. Once any available brpwser on the computer would least allow chrome. I tried Step 1 on that page. "Expand.exe" was already in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
Tried Step 2. When I do the last step, I get this error message: "Windows cannot find 'ChromeSetup.exe.' Make sure you typed correctly, blah blah blah..."
I downloaded the Process Monitor program, but when I created the filters in steps 3 & 4, Process Monitor says "The current filter excludes all ##### events." I downloaded the alternate version of the Chrome installer and ran it. It appeared to install successfully. I opened the Chrome browser & tried to go to www.google.com. I got the same error message as before: "Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error." So, I'm right back where I started. I sent the .PML file to Google, so I guess I just have to wait for an official response.
