That sounds like a banner sheet, in your menus, Specifically a print menu you will find a section with reports, it should be caled banner sheet.
They may have another name for it. But disable that. Also go ont the driver on your computer and look to turn the banner sheet off.
Some call it a print acrivity sheet also.
make sure those pages are turned off on both the printer and on the print driver on the computer.

Missing lines of print

hello
You either have to change the ink cartridge or try to clean the ink cartridge nozzles as described in the user manual;
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/924/en/om_en/om_en.pdf
On page 54 it states the following:

To clean the ink cartridge nozzles:
1 Load plain paper. For more information, see "Loading Paper" on page 19.
2 In Windows XP, click Start-Control Panel-Printers and Other Hardware-Printers and
Faxes.
In Windows 2000, click Start-Settings-Printers.
3 Right-click the Dell Photo AIO Printer 924 icon.
4 Click Printing Preferences.
The Printing Preferences dialog box opens.
5 Click the Maintenance tab.
6 Click Clean Print Cartridges.
7 If the print quality has not improved, click Print Again.
8 Print your document again to verify the improved print quality.
9 If you are not satisfied with the print quality, wipe the ink cartridge nozzles, and then print
your document again.

hope this helps.

Paper comes out incomplete and with a blue background.

HP printers require a certain type of paper and ink that is compatible with the printers.

Here are some print quality Issue suggestions from HP:
General print-quality problems can be solved by using the following checklist:
  1. Make sure that the paper or print media that meets the specifications. Generally, smoother paper provides better results.
  2. If a special print media is being used such as labels, transparencies, glossy, or letterhead, ensure that they are printed by type.
  3. Print a Configuration page and Supplies Status page at the device.
    • Check the Supplies Status page to see if any supplies are low or empty. No information is provided for non-HP print cartridges.
    • If the pages do not print correctly, the problem is with the hardware. Contact HP Customer Care.
  4. Print a Demo page from the HP Toolbox. If the page prints, the problem is with the printer driver. Try printing from the other printer driver. For example, if using the PCL 6 printer driver, print from the PS printer driver.
    • Use the Add Printer Wizard in the Printers (or Printers and Faxes in Microsoft Windows XP) dialog box to install the PS driver.
  5. Try printing from a different program. If the page prints correctly, the problem is with the printing program.
  6. Restart the computer and the device and try printing again. If the problem is not resolved, choose one of these options:
    • If the problem is affecting all printed pages, see General print quality issues.
    • If the problem is affecting only pages printed in color, see Solving issues with color documents.
I will get more information on this topic in a secondary post very shortly. The information was too long for one post. If this information was helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback. If you need additional assistance. Please include the model of printer that you are using.
Thank You,
Brian

Printer states "out of paper" when there is a lot of paper in the carriage. Have pressed "Print" button 5 or 6 times, so.....how do I clear all the print requests, and reset the printer to recognise that...

Please perform the following steps and check if the issue is resolved.

1. Please try to Printer a Self Test-page.
>Please press the Power button to turn the product on.
>Hold the Power button down.
>Continue to hold the Power button, and then open and close the carriage access door four times.
>Release the Power button
>Now, try to print a self test page and check if that works.
If the self test page does not works/print a test page, clear the paper jam.
Also, clear the paper rollers and if this does not work, perform a power reset to resolve the issue.

You can refer the link below to get the complete information to perform all the steps mentioned above.

  5. Remove the paper jam through the opening at the back of the printer.
  6. Replace the rear access door.
  7. Reload the paper into the paper In tray.

Issue

There is a problem with a print cartridge

Solution

Follow each of these steps until the problem is resolved:

  2. Clean the print cartridges automatically using the Clean Cartridges option in the Printer Assistant.
  3. Manually clean the print cartridges and print cartridge cradles:
    • Open the printer cover and wait until the carriage moves to the center.
    • Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
    • Disconnect power cord from the back of the printer.

  4. Calibrate the print cartridges.
  5. If the light is still flashing, replace the print cartridges.

Issue

The print cartridge has partial loss of electrical interface with the carriage connections

Solution

  1. Print a printer self-test by holding the power button down with a pencil and opening and closing the top cover four times.
  2. Check the nozzle self-test pattern in the self-test print out. If one or more of the solid rectangular areas are missing, an electrical contact problem may be present.
  3. Remove and then reinsert the print cartridge(s) into the printer.
  4. Print the document.
  5. If the problem persists, follow the steps listed above for cleaning the print cartridges and print cartridge cradle.

I have (4) documents to print, but it won't print. It says: 4 document(s) pending owner

To cancel a print job in Windows you can use one of the following two methods:

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB WITH THE PROGRESS METER:
When you send a print job to the printer, the Status Monitor will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Another printer icon for the PROGRESS METER will also appear in the taskbar while printing is taking place. This PROGRESS METER is there so you can manage print priorities or cancel print jobs.

1. Highlight the print job in the PROGRESS METER box.
2. Click on DOCUMENT and CANCEL, or, right click on the job name and left click CANCEL or DELETE.
3. Confirm cancelling the print job.

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB FROM THE PRINTERS WINDOW:
If no PROGRESS METER appears, you can access the document queue in this fashion:

1. Open START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS (START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS and FAXES in Windows XP).
2. Right click on your Epson printer name, left click PURGE PRINT JOBS (98,ME), or CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS (2000,XP). (Or, double-click on the printer name to see and modify the status of documents in queue.)
3. Confirm cancelling all documents.

Keep in mind that once information has been sent to the printer it resides in the spooling folders within Windows. It may a while for printing to stop as this data clears the system.

If the printer continues to print (ie multiple copies of a cancelled job, or garbled print) remove the rest of the paper from the printer and allow it to run out. Once an "out of paper" type error appears on your screen, cancel the documents. Once all print job information has deleted, reload the paper and press the paper feed button once to clear the red light and return the printer to a ready state.
