Bosch SGV43A03 DISHWASHER: pump drains all the time, even if reset!

Hi there.
The washer pumps out all the time! It will not start a program.
The reset function indicates the end of a cycle but it keeps pumping out!
The door opens and it is still pumping out! This usually stops the machine!
It will not reset properly to start a new cycle either.
If power is on and switch is on it pumps! No program can be obtained.
It is a Bosch SGV43A03GB/ 17.
Any help please? I am competent repairing it myself if I know what the fault is.

    I have exactly the same problem with a SGV43E03GV/31 . Any help would be appreciated...

Typically you could possibly have a leak in the base or sump which activates a little float switch. This in turn switches the drain pump on continuously and deactivates the programing cycle.Sort out the leak.

Bosch,. like many others have a "safe: cycle where the machine will always do a short pump out before it starts any cycle. If it fails to do a pump out even if there is no water in the machine, the machine will go into safety mode and will not allow a program to start. You will have to pull the machine out and check if the drain hose is blocked or kinked, and that the drain pump is not blocked or jammed. Toothpicks, bits of food and broken glass fragments are good for blocking / jamming dishwasher pumps.

Machine cannot finish cycle and is stuck in pumping out mode. Only tiny amount of water in drain basin at bottom, no excessive water. Was set at 10pm, still attempting to drain 8am! Has no diagnostic dials...
More then likely the control panel or basin float is defective.

Bosch 100 series will not drain
You need to check and clean the pump filter if you have not already done so.
This is located at the bottom front right of washer.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Hi.

If it keeps pumping water out when at the same time is filling, then it is probably a faulty control board.
The drain pump is supposed to come on after filling and cycling.

Before replacing the timer control, ensure that the problem is not a contact in drain pump wiring harness, keeping pump contacts hot even on filling.

Hi,
As the machine is only two weeks old I would go straight back to the seller and report the fault to them - and take a copy in writing. Don't be fobbed off with any instructions to get in touch with the makers - your contract is with the seller and it is up to them to fix it! And if you mention compensation for the inconvenience caused by this defective product, it might help speed things up.

Dishwasher keeps stoping
Favorite for bosch is the water inlet modual which monitors the water flow in could be faulty, If incorrect pulses take place the motor wont proceed. Otherwise listen for a hum after water stops filling. If there is a hum, the main wash pump is jambed and has to be sorted out.

Simply the bearings on the main wash motor need to be replaced. Hardest part is to remove motor from unit. Assuming you have available tools including a medium sized bearing puller you could D.I.Y. bearings can be bought at your local auto spares shop.
