go to tools-->options-->sound Devices-->(UN) tick, Let Skype Adjust My Sound Settings.-->save Reboot/Restart SKYPE i.e Log Out and Back in USING your password.

SKYPE MICROPHONE PROBLEM If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphonedriver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured inSkype. To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories -Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back.If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype. To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
No, it has no built-in Microphone, you'll need external microphone to record voice or do audio calls/chats, etc.. Hope this helps.

Make sure you have correctly installed the drivers for the microphone.
Running Skype, navigate to Skype-->Preferences--->Audio/Video
from here you will able to select the device of your choice by changing the mic
Running Yahoo Messenger, navigate to YM-->Preferences-->Voice & Calls
from here you will able to select the input device by choosing your mic
These steps reference Mac, but PC should be similar.
There is a built-in microphone located beside the built-in web cam. however, if the microphone should stop function, or you want to use an external mic, there is a mic input jack beside the eSata/USB port.
sorry, accourding to the laptop specs found here you do have built in speakers but no mic! you need to get mic and headphones or a headset to say chat with sound through your mic using msn messenger or skype.
While most laptops comes with a built in webcam and microphone, this particular model does not. If you don't see a web cam built in to the top of your screen, chances are you also won't find an internal microphone. You'll need to purchase additional accessories in order to use your laptop with Skype.
of course it is possible,go to official site(toshiba),select Support & Downloads then select your laptop type,O.S. and webcam driver then download ,instal and then you can test it ,then configure skype to microphone.
well, to find out if your computer has a mic open up the audio mixer (double click the speaker in the right hand side of you screen), if you do not see your microphone, go to Options>Properties, and select "microphone", then go to options, advanced controls, under microphone, if you see a "advanced" button, click it (if you dont see it, there is no internal mic), if you see Mic2 Select, you probably have a internal mic.
Another way to find out if you have a internal mic is to go to the sound recorder, and see if you can record your self,
However if your going to be using skype, i recommend you get an external mic
