Hi,
UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the fuse. It is white and ¼” wide and 3” long. It is located on the blower housing. Remove the wires and check to see if it has continuity. If it does not, you need to replace it. If the fuse tests ok, chech the door swithch.

Kenmore dryer won't start

If thermal fuse is bad, most dryers will not run. If it is bad, dryer has overheated for some reason. Check venting to be sure it is clear and be sure heating element has not grounded out.

You are going to make me guess!
I am guessing you have to hold the start button down.
So.
Try a new start button first.
If that does not fix it, replace the timer/control unit.
