You would need to make sure your iPhone settings and your Telstra service is able to do this.

GPRS is the older Telstra network. Next G is Telstras replacement.

I would recommend calling Telstra on 125 111, as all Telstra services are automated, get them to put you through to Technical Support (a person) and enquire how to do it.

Explain that you have searched their website and was unable to resolve the problem (I have done that part for you).

I would suggest if you can, call Telstra from a phone which is different to your iPhone (incase they require you to set up SETTINGS.)

Telstra's settings in your phone can be found

1. Tap Settings on the Home screen.
2. Tap General on the Settings screen.
3. Tap Network on the General screen.
4. Tap Cellular Data Network on the Network screen.

This should tell what Telstra settings are set up for your iPhone. It is also where telstra will ask you to go to.

I use Optus on my iPhone, so mine is slightly different.

I hope this is useful information for you. Please rate. Regards,

I apologize. I misread your phone type. I thought you meant an iPhone not a i9.

However, the Telstra support number will be the 125 111.

The support (help centre) area for Telstra mobiles is :

    http://telstra.custhelp.com/app/mobile

You may be able to locate an answer here, else post a question to Telstra.

    Regards,

GRPS NOT SUBSCRIBED CAN NOT GO INTO THE INTERNET

You need to subscribe to GPRS with your Service Provider: unlike normal GSM voice services, the charge is based on DATA volume and normally you need to 'agree' to Pay extra for your DATA usage either on a fix quota or on a MB basis as GPRS service is relatively quite expensive.
In any case, call your service provider help desk or consult their website for advise on how to enable the service... if you are a good customer, you can always ask for a 'free' trial for DATA.
Hope it helps: let me know how you go.

Unable to get internet on CECTi9 phone

I have managed to solve the problem myself. I used a site called i9 forum and they have a FAQ section on the internet, which gave a link to a nokia site who then sent the settings to my phone.

GPRS NOT SUBSCRIBED

It's because the phone isn't a t-mobile or at&t supported phone. All you gotta  is call your service provider and ask them to send you the configuration and save it on your phone. You gotta use another phone when you gonna call them because you must have the other phone to do the setup
