Have you checked the TV without other devices connected to the TV.
Eg. disconnect any home theatre or speakers from the TV.
Verify with audio menu if the settngs of TV speakers is on or off ?
To adjust the audio settings:
1. Press the menu button on the remote. The on-screen menu
is displayed.
2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight audio and press ok. The AUDIO menu is displayed.
3. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the setting you wish to adjust, then press left/right arrow buttons to change the setting:
• TV speakers - Turns the built-in speakers on or off.
Lastly have you tried restoring the TV to factory default settings.

displayed.
2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight system
and press ok. The SYSTEM menu is displayed.
3. Highlight reset & admin and press ok. The RESET & ADMIN

enter it now.
The TV displays, "Select Reset to restore all TV settings to
factory defaults and clear all account information."
6. Highlight reset and press ok.
7. Wait for the TV to turn off. The TV will turn back on shortly
afterward and the Setup App will begin
If still under guarantee take it back. If not this sounds like a workshop job. If more than five years old (the TV, not you!) and you can afford it, junk this set and get a new one.
Sir try to reset the lamp timer. you should press the "display" button on the remote then "5" then the "volume up key" and power "on" you should do this while the tv is in standby mode. Then press "Jump" 3 times to enter the DE service menu. Your tv will display the total lamp hours. Reset the lamp time by pressing channel 3, then mute, then enter. this will make your lamp hour timer to zero. Good day and best regards.
If you go into the Main Menu for the TV with the Remote, then into set up, look for a adjustment that says Monitor or TV.
It sounds like it is in Monitor mode.
Hope this helps,

Grab your sharp remote and press MENU, arrow over to SETUP, arrow down to RESET and press enter and follow that prompt to reset the unit. Once that is complete turn the tv off and unplug ONLY the tv for one minute then plug it back in. Then turn the tv on and see if you have channels, if you do, your audio should work on you analog stations, if you have no channels and all you see is a snowy picture do the following press MENU, arrow over to SETUP...arrow down to CH SETUP and press ENTER...you will then be at a screen that says AIR/CABLE, press ENTER, select CABLE or CABLE(STD) if that option is available to you. after then, arrow down to CH SEARCH, press ENTER, then you should be highlighted on ANALOG AND DIGITAL SEARCH...press ENTER and wait for 15-30 minutes ( or until you get a picture back) and make sure you DO NOT press any buttons or turn the tv off and you should be good. good luck 2 u
when picture is displayed on your tv after pressing menu, press the channel up/down button on the remote or tv. there can also be a button that shifts right to left. this may hilight the the settings you want to change. if the up/down button scrolled you thru the settings, then the right/left buttons should change the settings.

i've just some digging around and found that you can access a service menu and perform a reset which sorted the issue for me.
Access the service menu by pressing, in order, whilst the tv is in stand-by mode:
info menu mute power
when the tv comes back on you will have a service menu; select option 12 (reset) the tv will then switch off.
this will reset your TV back to factory defaults.
turn
tv back on and you should be prompted to go through the plug and play
setup again - go through everything and then all should start working
OK (it did for me)
