To change the battery on a Bang & Olufsen BeoCom 5 handset, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Remove the battery cover: On the back of the handset, locate the small rectangular cover at the bottom of the phone. Press down on the cover and slide it downward to remove it.
2. Remove the battery: Once the cover is off, you will see the battery. Carefully lift it out of the phone by pulling on the small tab at the bottom.

Fold the back of the seat forward, from behind reach both sides of the seat, the right side will have a lever that needs to be pushed forward and lift the seat off.

the cover is snapped into place in the back, I normally grab both sides of the cover and tilt up toward the back and lift. If you should have a docking device mounted to the seat post you may need to disassemble part of it to remove the cover, hopefully not. the batteries should be sitting with the post upright, sometimes the batteries were laid on there side, this is not good for the batteries. unplug one battery replace the cables and reinstall, then go to the next battery and do the same. All you need to do is slide the battery cover to the Open position, then open the battery cover to access the batteries. If it doesn't open easily you may have some corrosion on the batteries holding the cover closed.

Two main types of battery cover, if there is a finger / thumb indent then it is press down and push towards end of remote, the other sort has a little ctch at 1 end that needs pusing before the cover will come off, A finger nail is normally enough to do this. Hope this helps

If your talking about the battery cover then you just need to apply pressure to the battery cover near the seam and pull down with your other hand near the bottom of the remote near the battery terminals. If the battery inside has puffed up then the battery cover may be under stress and very hard to remove.

you need to remove 4 covers to replace the battery:
1. Cover over the windshield washer reservoir
2. Cover that says BATTERY on it
3. Cover that holds the battery cover
4. Cover over the bottom edge of the windshield on passenger side
