Sony vaio pcg-k33p Won't power up

You were FORMATTING it? Meaning... you were erasing the operating system? If that's the case, then... you have no operating system and the computer cannot boot up because it has no operating system to boot into.

my laptop is sony PCG-7173L. No thing display on screen and i even cant shutdown and there is no power led on power button and no sound of fan too....i cant go to advance boot option also..Please can any body help me...

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Based on the information you have provided, the issue might be due to the Battery or the Power settings.
As the issue might be due to the Power Unit in the Notebook, this might also be related to the Hardware problem(Power Unit).
Hence, it would be better to get the Unit examined at the authorized Service Center.

do you get any leds when charger is inserted? if yes, try to remove battery, insert charger and press power on. also, i would recommend you test the output of your charger using a multimeter to rule out the possibility of a faulty charger.

It could be the display power inverter or the illuminator is going out. generally the inverter goes first.

plz try by removing the battery and switch it on, if the problem is persists then you have to take it to servicing centre

Take out the battery and only hook up the ac adapter. If you still don't get power then take out the hard drive and dvd drive.

If there is still no power to the laptop then the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Any slimline laptop hard drive should work.

will i guest your computer have a major trouble...just try to check if the power led is ok the light is blink...or just check also if have 3 beeps sounds with regards to the video card...my suspect is weather a power supply of your computer or a video card is defective...let us bring that to the service center......
