Broken gray plastic clips on lower basket wheels

Rods connect the handle to the latch. Plastic clips holds the rod in place. the clip is broken. They dry rot and fall apart.

Make sure that any door rubbers are removed off the plastic trim.
Being very careful, grab a hold of front or back of trim and lift away from panel. These are clipped onto the panels with plastic clips,
Sometimes they break , but most of the time they come away just fine.
Dont pull too hard or the whole trim might snap

Sound like the basket has broken away from the spinning support coming of the back of inner drum, Gray plastic is the front ring the inner tub is now rubbing on. This has been making noise for a while. Phil 1-800-559-1411 www.phils.com any help I can give you.

can try to find the correct wheel and clips if you can provide the make and model of the dishwasher

this could be a broken wheel or something jamed inside the runner, theres a little plastic clip that is on the end of each runner remove the clips and pull the basket all the way out then check for broken wheels or something jaming it, or even a twisted runner. be carefull removing the clips as they can snap. Ps carefull of sharp edges too.

If you want to check for coins, debris, etc you first need to open the top of the machine (not just the lid) There are 2 clips in the sema between the front and the top panels (they are green when you shine a flashlight on them) Push the clip towards the rear and lift repeat with the other side. Now there is a peice of plastic on the top (tub ring) Push down while pulling the clips free. Finnally, remove the plastic cap in the center of the basket. There is a bolt underneath that holds the basket down. Once you remove it, lift the basket out. The other alternative is taking the rear panel off. There are two pumps on both the lower right and lower left hand corners. Once you drain the water out, you can check for foirgn objects in there as well.

That is from your dripp stop. If you can replace it it will be in the bottom of your filter holder. If not Please tkae out the valve on the bottom of this filter holder. You will have no dripp stop but it will work just fine.

This is definitely something that you can do yourself. Remove the back of the dishwasher and the front kickplate. This will give you access to the wheels. The wheels are held in place with a U shaped clip. Remove the clip and the wheel will come out. replace with the new wheel.

This happened with my Danby DDW1805 and I fixed it myself. I used two step stools at the side of the dishwasher to raise it off of the floor.
