Transfering pictures to computer

camera is already in use, but there are no other apps running. The computer knows it is there but won't establish a connection for download. it also asks me to select a program to use upon the initial plug in but there are no programs to choose from because the list is blank camera is already in use, but there are no other apps running. While installing the solution disk (A560 & A570), I just got a very fast glimpse to choose the Canon camera so it was left out. I continued the installation (both Easy and Custom). However, when I attempt to download images, a message appears that the connection cannot be established between the camera and the computer.



I reinstalled the software but to no avail. I have followed all the steps indicated in the manuals but I keep receiving the same message.



I have another digital camera and when I connect it there is an automatic connection. This was installed when I bought it several years ago. Do I need to delete it from my files and if I do, will it still function?

USB TWAIN Driver











The USB TWAIN Driver is not compatible with Windows XP. If the driver was installed on your computer, it must be uninstalled with the following procedures before installing the USB WIA Driver, which is the Windows XP compatible driver.



On the Solution Disk, you will see: CAMERA TWAIN DRIVE 6.7. Is this the same?



My Operating System (OS) is Win XP2 with sufficient memory and hard-disk space.

I've had my camera for about 3 months and I thought i had taken good care of it.I'm very protective with my stuff and never let my camera out of my sight when held by anyone else. Then, just about a month ago i couldn't upload pictures to my computer. I thought, "hey, maybe there's too many pictures." so I took my memory stick to Walgreens to get my pictures there. When I come back home, still, i can't upload. What's the deal?
