yellow question mark? right click to update driver if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it hope this helps
you dont need a driver for DVD-ROM it will automatically appear to your screen.. you just need a NERO if your DVD rom has a quality to burn a cd.. or dvd

I believe that there are two heads on for CD and one for DVD I think that maybe one of your read/write heads is faulty try and parse the DVD using DVD Shrink if this loads the DVD then your head is working
