What buttons should I press to restart camera Canon Ixus?

Hi andresen_3,

In order to reset the camera settings to its default values you need to do the following:

1. Press the MENU button
2. Use the left or right arrow keys to select the Settings menu (its icon looks like a wrench and hammer)
3. Use the up or down arrow keys to scroll to the choice that says "Reset ALL..."
4. Press the "Func./Set" button to confirm your choice.
This will reset the camera to its factory default settings

Hope it helps.

How to set date stamp for canon ixus 860is

:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.
dsc_include_date01_tcm13-520510.jpgTo set the date and time stamp, press the [Menu] button and then use the [arrow down] button to go to the [Date stamp] option in the menu. You can set this to "Date" or "Date & Time". Press the [Menu] button again to exit the menu.
dsc_include_date02_tcm13-520511.jpgBe aware that if you take pictures with this option enabled, the Date and Time cannot be removed from the pictures at a further time. It will permanently appear on the picture.

Flash not functionning after lens exchange

Did you replace the lens yourself? If so, no firmware update is going to solve your problem. Besides, there are no firmware updates for your camera.

Card is locked of CANON IXUS 960IS

There is a little slide switch on the side of the SD card that will lock it.  It could be that it got bumped the last time it was inserted, or the memory card could be defective.  I saw this happen with a SanDisk card that hadn't been removed from the camera.  Removing the card and sliding the lock switch back and forth, then re-inserting finally solved the problem.  It was a bit disconcerting when it happened.  I would recommend that you get a replacement memory card to use if it starts to happen repeatedly.
