My Kenwood frost free Fridge Freezer KFC60SS15 has got quite a bit of ice on the drawers

Look at the door on the ice cube chute. If there is a cube stuck in it holding it open, ice will form on interior surfaces of the freezer. The door flapper must close tightly.

Frost is building up in bottom freezer. Appliance is running nonstop. I believe that the freezer drawer has been shut completely. Foods in refrigerator section are fine; foods in freezer section are...

Frost can build up for multiple reasons. Most common is the start os an iceblock. Other reasons can include condensation from door being left open or opening too much. It can also happen from backsplash from the inlet tube for the ice maker. If the fridge is running non stop. It sounds like the ice block is forming and the temps are not getting to the program temps. If at factory setting the freezer should be at or around 0 degrees and fridge should be between 42 and 48 degrees. Has the fridge shutdown at all to go into defrost? The defrost timer may have went out and is causing an iceblock. If there is an ice block always change bimetal/ defrost thermostat.

If you need any further assistacne please feel free to comment me.

Ice melting and frost forming on freezer side, funny sound coming from freezer side. No condensation in back of fridge. Help for a new home owner.

check that your flapper on the ice shut through the freezer door is fully closed,
make sure there is no ice forming around your evaporator fan, thats the fan in the freezer, if that gets glogged with ice and is forced to stop, it could blow your entire machine control......
the frost in the freezer leads me to believe you may have a defrost issue

When doors are opened it stops. Ice is forming unnaturally in the

It sounds like you may have a bad evaporator fan motor or broken blade.

Another cause could be a failed defrost system component. The would cause a build up of ice and frost and the fan blade could be coming in contact with the frost or ice.

The fan stops running when the doors are opened on this model to prevent the circulation of warm air.

Sheet of ice forms in bottom of freezer

Frost free fidges are supposed to stay frost free because the automatically defrost regularly. When they do this they may drain water down to the bottom of your fridge. Look for a tray that catches this water underneath the unit. Make sure yo keep it emptied. If you live in a very warm climate you may be getting a lot of humidity inside. There may be a switch that you can change for lower moisture.

My Bosch frostfree fridge freezer keeps icing up!

My Bosch Frost Free Fridge Freezer did the same thing - Ice forming in the bottom of the freezer area after a few days.

It was caused by a blocked drain pipe - When the freezer does the de-frosting cycle, the melted ice drips into a tray and tehn runs into a dish on top of teh compressor, through a pipe.

If this pipe gets blocked, the de frosted ice overflows from the tray and overflows into the bottom of the freezer and then re-freezes !

To fix, pull the freezer away form the wall, locate the pipe that runs to the dish on top of the compressor and blow through it - This should clear it. Alternatively, from inside the freezer compartment, pull off the cover at the back, but the clips holding it on will probably break off, as mine did ! You can sort of push the cover back on and re-fit the food draws.

Zanussi Electrolux frost free fridge/freezer - freezer defrosting

My husband left the freezer door open a couple of months ago, causing ice to form. The loud rattling noise was the fan hitting the ice. The reason why the temperature started to rise but the noise stopped was because the fan had got stuck in a block of ice and was no longer working. Simple solution - defrost the freezer for 24 hours. Touch wood, it is all working fine now!
