UX-G5 "Reports No CD" when staker is loaded

My New UX-G5 was playing an MP3 CD when after a couple of tracks it all went quiet. Now the system will not play regular CD's o recorded MP3 CD's. I get a message NO CD yet all the trays are full. Have done a hard reboot shut off at the wall but will not play any CD ? All other functios work.

Wow, what was the third track? That's really terrible (except of course that it's new so the warrantee exchange should be a cinch.)

If this is new then it will be under warranty so I suggest you take it back to get it either fixed or replaced.

10 disk player inconsitently plays or reports "err" for each disk position. How to fix?

Please remove the cartridge and check all the discs on it ., It is possible that over a period of time the disc could have warped. The disc while loading could be going into the wrong track and hence the mechanism needs a check on the path . Alignment of the loading tracks must be checked or corrected.

My sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

CD playing erratic

Run a "Laser Lens Cleaner" thru the unit a couple times. Use one that takes fluid, you can find them at just about any retail store for 15-20. If that doesn't solve it, it needs to be repaired. At that point weigh the cost over replacement. A new transport usually will cost 100-150 on average for parts and labor. Hope this helps
