Reset option killed the yellow warning to replace the bulb, but didn't reset timer...it's still showing 4,400. I bought new replacement lamp from www.electried.com, but it's showing dark. Is it the lamp or projector?

The projector's lamp cover might not be securly on or you might need a new one, or the projector has blown a fuse that can be replaced other wise it could be your projector but be sure to contact your sony dealer first.

Reset the lamp timer.
1,Connect the power cord.
2,While simultaneously holding down "menu","enter" and "down" on the projector, press "standby/On" on the projector and keep all four buttons pressed down until the lamp indicator starts blinking green.

I changed the bulb but it keeps saying replace bulb

Look through the settings to see if there is a reset option for warnings or for lamp warnings. Many products with lamps require you to not only replace the lamp but to reset the warning.

Have replaced my lamp myself. TV work fine. "Replace lamp" warning still appear when tv is turned on and yellow light still flashing.

You need to reset the "Lamp Hours" in your settings. It is a timer that just runs down, and doesn't know if you changed the bulb. It just needs to be reset to 0.

I replaced the lamps in my DS+65 but it is still saying that the it has exceded the lamp life. Is there a way to reset the lamp timer?

Yes you have to tell it you have put in a new bulb.
The status or lamp menu will have a reset counter option.

The person I purchased this t.v from is saying the lamp was just replaced, but the FINAL WARNING REPLACE BULB AND RESET TIMER message pops up every time I power the tv on. She said she forgot to reset the...

If the timer has not been reset telling the unit it has a new lamp you will get that message. Call a servicer to find out how to reset the timer if you don't have the owners manual. If the message continues after that you will need to purchace a new lamp. There are problems that accur with some aftermarket lamps.

How to reset lamp meter

I have a PT-50LCX63 unit. After 5 years and 4 bulbs, a "reset lamp" warning showed up every time I turned on the tv. I have to say that after a few weeks, the message ceased on its own. I don't know if all models eventually reset or turn off, but I could not find any other information on the direct way of resetting. I find the warning a waste of time since the bulbs are good for 10 -14 months. Sadly I missed the class action suit that dealt with the premature lamp failures. I am looking for a new tv at this point. Bulbs have cost me $1200.00 since I bought it. The warning is supposed to allow you the option of replacing the lamp before it fails, Ha! what a joke...Thanks for reading.

Reset Timer Lamp Sony VPL-HS60 projector

To reset the lamp timer:
1) With the projector plugged in and turned off, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button to put the projector in 'STANDBY' mode. NOTE: You have to press the button on the projector itself, you cannot use the remote for this step (this is not clear in manual).
2) Now, using the remote, press the following keys in order: RESET, <--, -->, ENTER.
3) Timer should now read '0'.
