On this particular model there is only one fuse block. This car is called a w126 body. The fuse block is located under the hood, driver's side, nearest the windshield, under a black cover about 5 inches by 8 inches and has a quick release clasp right in front. Pull up on this clasp and make sure it releases, pull the lid up as it will hinge up, and pull the back towards you to remove it all of the way. The inside of the lid will have positions for all of the fuses. If you need anything else for this car, feel free to ask. I do have manuals for these.
After opening the hood, locate the air filter box, which is just to the rear right corner of the engine. It is connected to the engine via a thick plastic tube.
Remove the tube clamp that joins the plastic tube to the air filter box. The tube clamp is a metal ring with a simple clasp on it. To release the clasp, slide the tip of a flat-head screwdriver in the opening and twist it to either side. The clamp will loosen, allowing you to pull away the tube from the air filter box about an inch or so.
Remove the two metal screws on the right side of the air filter box. They're located along the seam where the lid meets the bottom of the box.
Slide the lid to the left about a half inch; it won't go much farther than that. When it's as far to the left as possible, lift it off.
Pull the old filter out of the box. Give it a close look if you'd like, and if it doesn't appear particularly dirty, put it back in. Otherwise, discard it.
Put in the new, clean filter in the old one's place.
Put the lid back down so it's just to the left side of the bottom of the air filter box, then slide it to the right until it snaps into place.
Replace both screws on the right side.
Slide the plastic tube back onto the air filter box and squeeze the sides of the tube clamp together to lock it on.
No tools required. the headlamp is actually held in by a wire clasp with tension. Open the hood and reach behind the bulb and take off the cord that connects to the bulb. Remove the black rubber protector. It should just pull off. Next look for a wire clasp, look for the loop, just push in and and up and it should release the tension on the bulb. Remove the bulb and note how you took it out. If you look at the plug end of the light, there are 3 leads. Mine came out with the middle lead at the top. Carefully remove the new bulb from the packaging and insert into in the head light, in same way you pulled it out. Be careful not to touch the glass. The oil on your hands can decrease the lifespan of the bulb. Re-attach the wire clasp; just push it back in, you may have to wiggle it a bit to seat it. Next, re-attach the rubber protector, then plug it back in.
usually there is a special tool to remove those clips... if you live in the states i believe autozone will rent/loan you the tool.... if in canada you can rent/borrow the tool from canadian tire. if you cut the clasps i doubt you will be further ahead as you would need the tool to install the new filter.
