My 7150C is making a loud cranking noise fallowed by a code that keeps popping up #54 this code I do not know what is going could u please tell me what dose this code means? #54 Thank you
This error means your purge unit is not working. Most likely there is a piece of paper stuck in the unit (or other object).
You will have to take the unit apart and check for objects inside that
should not be there. Also, check to make sure the excoder strip is
seated correctly in the printhead (this is a long clear strip that goes
from one end of the unit to the other).
If neither of these fixes the error, then the purge unit would have to be removed, inspected and repaired or replaced.

Dodge stratus V6 ?
You should have a check engine light on in your dash.
You will need to have someone plug in a OBD II reader to retrieve the code.
I believe the loud poping noise you hear is the engine backfiring, from either a fuel or electrical problem.
Please let me know what you find.
ok, any obd code means the sensor concerned is not detected by the ecu, or is way out of range of the normal signal the ecu expects. I would therefor check the electrical path between the sensor and the ecu terminals, it may be just a chafed cable or wire.
that's normal should sound like a lear jet engine cranking up load whining sound is that what your hearing mines been doing it for about 9 years high speed spin is 800 rpm let me know if that's not the sound besides the control bd not much there to go wrong
