How do I get my GPS upgrade to in clude the new routes

Try this: Maximize your GPS Memory Your Garmin StreetPilot 7200 has limited storage space for waypoints, routes, and tracks. Once you reach that limit, your GPS can't hold any more data. Smart ExpertGPS users have figured out how to eke out every last bit of memory space on their Garmin GPS receivers. Before each outdoor adventure or visit to a project site, they use ExpertGPS to back up the contents of their GPS, and then clear the GPS data memory. They can then download as much data as possible onto their GPS (leaving some room for GPS data collection out in the field). Don't believe everything you see on a GPS. Garmin does not update their maps as they should; I found this even after I purchased their map update. I drove 48 states in a big rig, over many new roads not found or shown on the Garmin maps. My streetpilot usually went into a hiccup mode, recalculating -- recalculating -- recalculating. All the while, it tried to get me to detour on whatever spurious local roads happened to show up along the way.

You need to upgrade your mapping system. Go to www.garmin.com to find the appropriate upgrade for your particular GPS. Try google-ing "free map upgrade for garmin nuvi 205w" and check to see if any free upgrades are available for it.

You most likely need a firmware update. My company designs and programs GPS units and software and about 3 months ago the government changed the sats. in such a way that certain Chinese gps units stopped receiving data. Email me at [email protected] and tell me what you can about the make and model of the unit itself and I can see what I can do about getting you a firmware upgrade.
