Office Outlook 2007 crashing everytime

Hi, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate & MS Office Outlook 2007.
Outlook was running error free for quite an year. Three days ago I sync'd my mobile data with Outlook & backed up on it. I used to do it quite often
but since last time my Outlook has started crashing everytime I open it even when the mobile is not connected. As soon as I open Outlook, it closes
with an error message "Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the
program and notify you if a solution is available."
No other application is giving any problem.
I have tried:
Microsoft Office Diagnostics (Setup Diagnostic, Disk Diagnostic, Memory Diagnostic, Update Diagnostic, Compatibility Diagnostic)
Scan and repair corrupted Outlook data files through scanpst.exe
Deleted all Calendar, Contacts & ToDo items that were sync'd.
The Recovery Manager is also showing only two reset points but not showing that date or prior to problem version to rollback.
Pls help!!
Regards

Hey,

I was having the same problem with Outlook 2007 on my Laptop, looked for all the possible resolutions but no Clue..
Then I tried to check the addins I was using in Outlook 2007, I found that after disabling the unnecessary addins from Regsitry I am able to use outlook 2007 without any issues.

For Disabling the outlook addisn you have to go to:
Start> Run> Type Regedit> Hit Entre> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>OFFICE> OUTLOOK>ADDINS there you will find all the Addins, Please right click on the onw which is not required to go to modify & change the value to 0.
It will disable the Addins from Registry. we can enable the Addin when ever required.

Close & re launch your Outlook.

Hope this will help you in resolving the issue related to the outlook crashing.

Cheers!!!!

Vivek

I TRIED ABOUT 10 TIMES TO DOWNLOAD MICROSOFT OUTLOOK ORDER # 11160568 AND WHEN ABOUT TO BE COMPLETE THE DOWNLOAD FAILS DUE TO AN ERROR. PLEASE HELP ME

Hi

You do not say where you are downloading from or if you have paid for the download.

Genuine, licenced, MS Office Outlook is not available as a free download.

Either the source of your download is not a genuine, reputable one or there may be a corruption in the Office Outlook files installed on your computer causing an incomplete or corrupted download.

Start > Control Panel > (Add or Remove Programs) Programs > Uninstall a program > highlight MS Outlook > Remove all components of MS Outlook > Close > Restart computer > Download again (from a reputable source).

MS Outlook is no longer available as a download from Microsoft, see here:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/results.aspx?filter=5&qu=download&av=zol120

If you insist on using Outlook 2007, you will probably have to buy the software, or pay to download it from a reputable site, such as:

http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Office-Outlook-2007/3000-2367_4-15311.html

If you want to download from Microsoft, it will have to be MS Outlook 2010 from here:

http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en-GB/Microsoft/Outlook-2010

I hope this helps.

It is not a problem but a question. Can I install Outlook in windows 7 and will ntelos support it as my mailbox?

Hi,

Yes, but you will need to make sure if the version of Outlook that you have is comaptible to windows 7.
Officially only Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 are supported to run on Windows 7. This is similar to Windows Vista which also did not support earlier versions of Outlook. You can install a version prior to Outlook 2003 on Windows 7 though but there are several issues which you could encounter.
In addition to these version requirements, even with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 there are several compatibility issues which you could encounter on Windows 7. The most critical of these issues have been taken care off in prior service pack releases. So before starting Outlook on Windows 7, make sure your first apply at least Service Pack 3 for Office 2003 and Service Pack 2 for Office 2007.

Hope this will help...Your response is very much appreciated...

although if you want an application for FREE that is on par with this , why not try "open office", not quite as good but very similar

I have xp i have 512 MB RAM and P3 processer but i cant not install ms office 2007

In order to install any software, it is imperative to ensure that the computer in question meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

Foremost, Microsoft Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise 2007 require a CD-ROM or DVD drive. Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 requires a DVD drive.

Microsoft Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise/Ultimate 2007 requires a system that has at least 500 MHz (since a Pentium III can range in speed from 450 MHz to 1.4GHz, it seems likely that you've met this specification); & at least 256 MB of RAM (your system's 512 MB meets this & is the minimum amount recommended for Outlook Instant Search).

However, you did not make mention of which service pack (1, 2, or 3) that is installed on your version of MS Windows XP (MS Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise/Ultimate 2007 requires at least SP2); nor did you mention how much free disk space is on your system. MS Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student 2007 requires at least 1.5 GB (MS Office Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise 2007 requires at least 2 GB of free disk space & MS Office Ultimate 2007 requires at least 3 GB of free disk space. Also, MS Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise 2007 requires an Internet browser comparable to at least Internet Explorer 6 (IE6).

By the way, OneNote Instant Search & OneNote Audio Search require a CPU of at least 2 GHz & at least 1 GB of RAM. 1 GB of RAM is also the minimum requirement for grammar & contextual spelling in Word. Business Contact Manager requires a CPU of at least 1 GHz & at least 512 MB of RAM. Since you did not mention your exact iteration of MS Win XP (Home/Professional/Professional 64-Bit), it is important to note that "Send to OneNote 2007" print driver, Internet Fax, & Groove Folder Synchronization are not available on 64-bit operating systems.

Furthermore, I do not find it reasonable to quote any more specifications such as those for MS Office Accounting products unless found necessary, besides such specs are readily available at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/2007-microsoft-office-release-system-requirements-HA010166865.aspx?CTT=1.

It is entirely possible that the cause of installation failure could be a faulty optical disk drive (CD/DVD/etc.) an invalid product key or perhaps an operating system (OS) which the installation deems to not be genuine.
