F1 & F51 error on my Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer

I have been having the F1 & F51 error on my Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer since for the past 6 months. I have to repeatedly press stop and start for the machine to work. Then go back just before the rinse and press stop and start until it works again. I see that many others have the same issue.

You hav to first check whether something is stuck in-between
your outer and inner drum. Un-plug
first. Is the basket moving smoothly, as
in previous washes? If not, there could
be something stuck, and the F51 reading could be correct - strain on motor.

You have to get in to the top of the washer. There are two
clips that hold the front of the top in place - wedge a putty knife against
these (hard) while pulling up to release the top. The top will then swing up as
a piece. It is easier to undo the clips in the back allowing the whole top to
swing completely back and away (having an extra person helps, you don't want to
put pressure on the wiring harness between the base and the top). Next you have
to unclip the cover all around the edges (lifting the tabs) and swing it back.
Take a flashlight and inspect carefully the gap between and under the drum for
any stray items, and remove them. Reverse the process to re-assemble.

Leaking and F51 error code on my Kemore Elite Oasis Washer

The F51 error code indicates that the control is not sensing proper motor movement through the signals from the RPS (rotor position sensor) circuit.
This can be caused by several different problems.
Make sure that you are not overloading the washer.
Overloading can cause this problem. A toy or foreign object could be under the washer that is interfering with motor rotation. With the washer empty, spin the basket inside the washer tub to see if it spins relatively easily.

If not, you could an item caught between the spin basket and the tub. You could have a wire harness problem causing signals to not be transmitted properly between the RPS and the machine control board.

A failed RPS sensor or a failed control board could also cause this problem.

F51 error

Hello, the F51 code is a motor rotor position sensor failure. It's best to call in the warranty service as there is a bunch of tests that need to be run to determine if it's the sensor or control board. If the tech wasn't any help, contact the store for a replacement.

Thanks

Kenmore Elite Oasis HE F1 Error

Im sorry to tell you but you have a bad control board. This was a faulty board from the factory. There is a class action lawsuit agianst whirlpool (whirlpool made the oasis). Try calling to get whirlpool to fix it. Maybe try joining the lawsuit. They have remanufactured the part so the new one wont do that again. Its a great machine when it works right.

Kenmore Elite Oasis HE/ Error Code F1

Ok these are not the series 70, getting a model number off the door will reallllllly help. Some of these sound like the oasis. F1 is motor control or primary control failure and F 41 is a rps thermistor failure.
For the guest with the 11027086601 kenmore elite oasis here is a link for supplying me with a partial model number, much thank yous!! paste in a browser:)
