Do you have usb cords and usb connection on your camera? If so, you will want to download the latest drivers for camera onto your pc, then after driver file is downloaded, then double-click the file so it install on your pc. Then restart pc, then turn on camera, then finnaly connect the usb cord. Then install and run quicktime player so you can play the videos on your pc.

You should have a program that came with the camera or you can download it from the manufactures website. You can also download the driver there as well. Once downloaded, then double-click the file to install it to your hardrive.
Then restart your pc, then turn on camera and start the program. Then Lastly connect to usb. It should automatically transfer pics/videos from camera to pc.
You can also go to "my computer" then you should see your camera folder there. You can double-click on that file to see what you have stored and then drag and drop the files in your camera's file into any file on your pc.

USB MASS STORAGE?

Go to your "my computer" icon on the computer and you should be able to see all available drives on the computer. Your camera should appear as an external hard drive. You can open the drive and then open the files in the drive. Simply click and drag the files from the camera to your video folder on your main hard drive and you are good to go. Windows Media player should play the videos....or use an editing software like power dvd.

JVC GZ-HD7 Undelete Video Files

To undelete your videos files, the first thing you should do is STOP taking more videos with your JVC recorder.
Then take more recovery programs to rescue the videos. here are some that should help you out.
For Windows --> Data Recovery Software Tool
For Mac OS X --> Video Recovery for Mac
1. Connect your camera (memory card) to a PC or Mac which has installed the recovery program.
2. Scan for the lost video files.
3. Recover them easily.
Caution - Do NOT try & write anything back to the recorder memory card until you can recover your files safely! Good luck and best regards!

Deleted footage off my JVC hard disk camcorder Everio GZ-MG30

There is a way to get back those deleted video files from your digital camcorder, BUT it is just possible. Because if those deleted files has been overwritten by new files you saved in, then there is no hope. However usually overwritten cases are hard to happen as long as the hard disk(of your JVC camcorder) has enough volume.

Then, take so called data recovery program to handle the issue and see if you can grab some or all of the deleted files back. Here are some recovery software you may take a try.

If you are running Windows, try this video photo recovery program.
If you are using Mac OS X, turn to this Mac photo video recover software.

You should take care - before your files are recovered, do not save more files to the device concerned(do not take more videos or photos) in case overwritten situation will happen. I hope you good luck.

Transferring video from JVC to computer

Does the Camcorder show as a new drive in your 'My Computer' list of drives? Ie C drive D drive and possibly a weirdly named one is the one you're after. You should be able to find the videos in the folders contained on that new drive. Trouble finding it? Open mycomputer with it unplugged, then plug in camera like you're going to download stills, and watch for a new drive to appear. You will have to look through out the folders until you find the videos :o) Hope this helps you,

Downloading contents of hard drive from camcorder on to a disc

no sound suggests
  • a codec issue, check the manual for the device to find what it uses to encode its dv, and install the same codec on the pc, and it will play, often available from the makers website in FAQ
  • or the mic was turned off during record

JVC Everio GZ-MG130 Won't Come On

Check the lens cap.

Check if it is in the proper mode. Some JVC have an eyepiece that when pulled out allows you to view through the eyepiece but not on the screen.

Try downloading the contents of the hard drive to your computer.

Here are links that can give you details on how to check these things.
