Can you repair a broken lcd screen on your own without having to send it off as i have got a brand new screen here???
Weird when i dropped mine it looks like an old tv channel... just seeing multiple colors with no picture... is my LCD broken too??
I'm sorry, but the LCD is broken. The good news is that Blackberry Bold LCDs are fixable. You can do a mail order repair or find someone local to fix it. Inovagent can repair your Blackberry locally in the Washington DC/Baltimore area.
Yep, when an LCD breaks it might turn all white, all dark, or half is visible and the rest dark, or any combination of the above with white lines/random colored dots. Inovagent Cell Phone Repair does mail in service for Blackberry repair, or you can find someone local to you.

If you're under warranty they should replace it, because there is no proof you dropped it. Screens can fail like that without dropping. If there's no warranty and if you want to do it yourself, the good news is, it's not too hard to open it. Here is an Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry.
