I want to personalise my grand daughters school bag and lunch box etc with minecraft pictures. Can you tell me how would I go about this

Google search for pictures of Minecraft characters. Popular ones are the 'Creepers', and the main character 'Steve'. You could also add the diamond tools used in the game. Search for 'Diamond Pickaxe' or 'Diamond Sword'.

The blade on my cricut expression won't stay down and cut the entire image, only part of it. how do i fix this?

you have something under the mat or the mat is bent. If you are using Expression which I assume you are if it is cutting on the right then make sure you haven't got your mat kinked. It should line up with the side on the left and the little bar on the base of the machine on the right. Try putting it in portrait made and doing some cuts to see if the same things happen.

What exactly is die cutting?

Die cutting is manufacturing a lot of the same shape from a material. You can do it with fabric or wood, plastic, etc. The shapes you create are called blanks and are usually used decorated before they are sold.

I find it very difficult to remove the paper pattern once the item has been cut out,I use 3M Repositionable Spray Mount. Can any one help

This may help: If your mat is too sticky, you need to prep your mat, sort of like "curring" your cast iron skillet when it is new. (I guess I just aged myself.)
Remove the clear plastic film from the mat. Pat both hands all over mat for several minutes. Next place a piece of cardstock (same size as mat) and remove, repeat 8-10 X. This should also reduce the "confetti" or leftover tiny paper pieces on messy mats.

Hope this helps!!

When the cricut is cutting it tears my paper even though the cardstock is good and the machine cannot cut anything intricate. I tried changing the blade, but the same problem still exists

After having the Cricut for many years, I finally figured out how to cut the intricate cuts. Use multi cut 2, speed on med (3) and pressure on 4. I also keep my blade at 4. It takes a lot longer to cut but it cuts out good!

Cannot use die cuts

No I don't think your machine is defective. Here are some "sandwich" ideas to help you. I know you asked just for Cuttlebug dies; I included other "sandwiches" that you can do with your Cuttlebug. If you need further assistance feel free to contact me.

Cardstock
Chipboard
Magnetic/ Metal Sheets & Thin cork (Media)

Cuttlebug Dies
Plate “A”, Plate “B”, Die (cutting side up), Cardstock, Plate “B”

Nestabilities
You will need Spellbinders Tan Embossing Mat to emboss in
Cuttlebug™ machine (or a plumbers gasket cut to size, or some use a mouse pad)
Cutting Sandwich - (Stack from bottom up)
1. A plate
2. C plate
3. Spellbinders Die (cutting side up) that means the side with the
ridges
4. paper or cardstock

Embossing Sandwich- (Stack from bottom up)
*Remove C Plate for embossing sandwich
1. Place A plate on bottom
2. Leave die face up on A plate with die cut still in the die.
3. Place one Spellbinders Tan Embossing Mat on top of the die.
4. Use 2 or 3 pieces of cardstock to shim.
*Cautionary Note: Using more than 3 pieces of cardstock to
shim Cuttlebug Embossing sandwich will result in B Plate
breakage. When using Spellbinders Edgeabilities card making
dies, shim with only 2 pieces of card stock.
5. Place two acrylic B plates on top of sandwich and run thru
Cuttlebug machine to emboss Spellbinders die cuts.
6. Turn die over and use like a stencil with inks and chalks for
added detail.

Cuttlebug breaks apart when a cutter is put throught can anyone have sujestions thks ray

The reason this is happening is because the metal casting (inside the green plastic casing)  on one side (where the driving cogs are) has cracked due to trying to force through something that was too thick..

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done with it apart from complain to the manufacturer
