I have a problem with my Lifestyler C760 Triple Action Electromagnetic Silent Drive Exercise Bike. The tension belt (drive belt) walks up on to the right/outside edge of the tension pulley (pedal crank pulley). The belt appears to be in good condition. A replacement belt is no longer available. I have adjusted the belt tension per the manual instructions, but this does not solve the problem. I don't understand how to align the rear tension pulley with the front belt hub so that the belt will stay in the pulley groove. Any suggestions?

How can I get the specifications for the powersupply/Power Cable of the Sears Lifestyler C760 exercise bike?
I have a number of powersupplies but I am not sure which one works with my Lifestyler C760 exercise bike. I do not want to apply the wrong voltage by using one with too high of a power rating

I have a NordicTrack C2270 NTL12950. the belt is slipping. I have attempted to tighten it, but it seems to keep slipping. I would like to figure out if it is the walking belt or the drive motor belt.

if it's the walking belt, make sure that the rear roller is parallel to the back of the walking board. Sounds goofy, stand on the mill looking back away from the front of the display. Look down to where the walking belt goes around the roller, the roller should be parallel to the walking board.

Walking belt slip, sliding away!

You need to replaced the walking belt and have a professional reset the drive belt to the proper tension.

We just bought a gently used Lifestyler Expanse 1500 treadmill today; it turns on & runs nice & smoothly...until we walk on it. When we start walking on it, it wants to slow down & we feel like...

From the manual: Troubleshooting
Symptom: The walking belt slows when walked on
a. If an extension cord is needed, use only a 14-gauge general purpose cord of five feet or less in length.
b. If the walking belt is over-tightened, the treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may be permanently damaged. Remove the safety key and UNPLUG the power cord. Using the 3/16" allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise. 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3-4 inches off the walking platform. The center of the walking belt should just touch the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert safety key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
c. If problem persists, contact customer service.

The walking belt on this Lifestyler Expanse 8.0 Treadmill has slipped towards the left side; folding the left side of the belt over itself.

I'm sorry to say that the belt is toast and needs to be replaced. I would also check the end caps I believed it is a one piece unit that the belt tension bolt is attached and the left side had cracked and cause this problem. When I step on the treadmill, the runner stops and

Unplug unit then remove motor shroud the walk on the belt normally and try to stall the belt to make it slip. Be careful during this test. If the problem is in the drive belt, either the drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop when stalled.
Find the set bolt(s) on the motor. This is typically run through only one side of the motor mount or may be on both sides but it does not run the full length of the mounting..
Look for a bolt that will tension the motor. If it has this bolt, it typically runs in the same direction parallel with the drive and walking belts. If your treadmill is not equipped with a bolt as described above, the drive belt must be tensioned by hand. While one person applied increased tension to the drive belt, the other person should tighten the motor set bolt(s) that are described in Step If your treadmill is equipped with this bolt (very few are) the repair will only require one person.
If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when the walking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on the front roller.
If the walking belt slips when walked on. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

Belt stops running while standing on the treadmill

Either front roller may need to be replaced or the motor drive belt may need to be adjusted. This problems are caused when a walking belt is worn out and in need of replacement. Too much tension can cause bearing failure in the motor and the front roller and front roller pulley failure.

Motor drive belt adjustment: The motor drive belt is adjusted independently from the walking belt. Some newer models have an auto tensioner which is a lever that has a wheel that puts pressure on the drive belt and a spring on the other end that automatically loads the belt to the proper tension. You should not adjust these since they are preset. Tension can be affected slightly by adjusting the tension of the walking belt but if you have a slipping problem, the drive belt will require replacement. If your drive belt is too loose, it will slip on the front roller pulley or the motor pulley. If it is too tight, it will increase your amp draw to the point that you may have an electronics or motor problem. Due to this, it is better to be on the safe side and replace a drive belt rather than risk over tightening it.
