Try removing the microSD card then delete something from the e250's internal memory to free up 8MB.

It keeps saying not enough space for music DB please free 90 MB when i turn it on

Remove the microSD card, then connect the Sansa to your computer. Delete one or more files (music, photos, videos) until you free up the required amount of memory.

" Not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB." Huh??

wire it up to a windows pc, treat it like a harddisk, search through the folders for the mp3's you won't to get rid off, delete the files you want from it, like you would from a computer.then copy some mp3's
to it, unplug, finished.
formatting it might erase some of the software the player needs to run, so you better don't. enjoy your favorite music :-)

Everything is wiped out and so is the radio! Please help !!

The Music DB refers to the information (i.e. - Artist, Album, etc.).

The device need you to free up 6MB so it can create this.

Connect the device to the PC and delete several songs until you have at least 6MB free.

Disconnect it, restart, and youre all set.

Best of Luck.

Music DB??? clear 6 MB???

Have you tried re-formatting the device?  This will "wipe" memory, getting rid of corrupted files, etc. and should restore use.

Error message: Not enough space for music DB. Please free 4MB.

Hi I have just bought a Sandisk Sansa M250, we loaded som music on it and it lasted 2 hours, then it the message came "Not enough space for music DB please free 8 MB". I couldnt even go in to the menu. I contakted Sandisk.com and 24 hours after they came up with an answer. If it's currently frozen, hold down the power button for 20 seconds in order to soft reset it. Let's try to format the player (THIS WILL ERASE ALL FILES FROM THE PLAYER). Plug it into your computer, then open My Computer, right-click the drive associated with the player, and choose Format. It may give you a choice of file system, if so, choose FAT (it may only let you choose FAT32, which is fine). Now click on Start and it should format the player. If not already done, please also update the firmware from this link: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1368 The 20 seconds on the power button didnt work, but the formation did. Hope this helps. //Cadmann Please bear with my english
