I have an old DVD player from 2002 & I'm trying to hook it up to my TV (old TV too). Do you have a graphic of the hook up? The TV has a spot to hook up my cable for my basic cable channels. The DVD player does not have a place for the cable to connect. It only has color coded plugs. The TV has the yellow & white plugs for video & audio.

You connect up a DVD to a TV via the Audio Visual leads, they go into the Red White, the Audio, & Yellow, the composite Video. In & Out. They wire color to color. Then you select AV on the TV. & press Play on DVD.

You can buy an adapter at some electronic stores or a good truck stop. you need a co-axial (regular tv cable) to RCA adapter.

I am trying to hook up the mvd2016 to a visio tv that is hooked to our cable converter box. I hooked it up, i have the tv but no sound.

your RCA jacks from the DVD player....should be connected to the Vizio a/v 1 in the back of TV (yellow to yellow, red & white to red & white)... now to view using the remote to TV switch to a/v (play a DVD, you should now have a picture and sound)

I have a 5 year old KLH DVD player. I had it hooked up through AV cable to a 6 year old SONY Trinitron 37" TV & it worked fine. I am now trying to hook it up to a new Westinghouse flat screen TV...

double check the wires are in the correct connections on both the tv and dvd player also the KHL dvd player may need to be put in progressive scan. Usually the red wire for video and the one for audio get plugged into the wrong input and causes this issue
