Hi,
Please first try reseting it.This usually fixes the error code problem.
For that you have to refer some user guide. You can download it from HERE

If you want to try reinstalling the driver then go ahead. But first uninstall the previous driver then reinstall it.You can download the driver from HERE
Once you are at the site just click on Accept then the download will start..

The hard drive needs to be replaced, have the unit serviced.

You could try reseating it's cables, remove the panels at the rear of the machine and you should see the hard drive mounted inside. Reseat the cables and cross your fingers. But most likely needs replacing. You can't just use any hard drive either since it needs to be properly formatted, that's why they can be expensive. You may find one on eBay, that may work. Good Luck!

Hi bev4u!

To get to the bottom of this issue we will need some more information about the error codes displayed by your system. 4d23 isn't helping much because it doesn't appear to turn up as a valid fault code for this model. If you can work back into the admin panel and report any other codes in the log, it would be great.

Additionally, is your machine owned or leased?

Lastly, please excuse the rude attitude and irrelevant posts by our other experts.

First try doing an hard reset. Disconnecting the xerox from power socket for 30 minutes and connecting it back.

Failure to leave at least 20 seconds between

repeated power OFF /ON can result in damage to the

DC440/432/420 hard drive. Probably this is what happened. The HD probably is not physically broken but the source software may need to be re installed by a xerox authorized centre.

here is the link to all documentation regarding your unit made available online by xerox

and Here is the contact number for USA and Canada. If you let me know your location I will find your Xerox service contact number.

You can also trace the number from www.xerox.com selectin your region after clicking contact us

The original code 4d23 was not HD failure. Was probably some code related to paper feeding (the ones staring with 4 in your model). You probably had HD failure after restaring the machine several times.

Let me know if this had been helpful or if you need further help.

Error code 116-323 in xerox 250

error code 116-323 on a Xerox WorkCentre 250 series printer typically indicates a problem with the Transfer Belt Unit. This unit is responsible for transferring the toner from the imaging drum onto the paper during the printing process. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
  1. Power Cycle: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and turn it on. Power cycling can sometimes clear temporary errors.
  2. Check Transfer Belt: Open the printer's front cover and locate the Transfer Belt Unit. Ensure that the Transfer Belt is installed correctly and that there are no visible signs of damage or obstruction.
  3. Clean the Transfer Belt: Dust and toner particles can accumulate on the Transfer Belt, affecting its performance. Gently clean the Transfer Belt with a soft, lint-free cloth or a cleaning pad designed for this purpose.
  4. Reset Printer: Some printers have a reset option or a combination of buttons to clear error codes. Refer to the printer's user manual or Xerox's support documentation for instructions on how to reset the printer.
  5. Update Firmware (if applicable): Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Xerox WorkCentre 250 printer. Updating the firmware might address known issues and improve printer performance.
  6. Check Consumables: Verify that all consumables, including toner cartridges and imaging drums, are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace any depleted consumables with new, genuine Xerox supplies.
  7. Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path that might be causing the error
