I am unable to booth up my laptop, nothing comes up on the screen. The bottom gets very hot and nothing comes up on the screen. Do you know why this might be happening?

your inverter may have just shut down,it is behind the screen at the bottom.or your screen may have gone..try putting a monitor using a vga cable to your laptop,if the monitor comes on then get the screen checkd and the inverter.

Are you sure the unit has a camera? If it does did you disable the camera? If not check anyway. If it still doesn't work take to an apple store.

There seem to be a problem with the module of the laptop, that is why you are having a black screen through out the boothing process of the laptop.

The module is the chip that allows information from the main board reach the screen.

The hardwares would be working perfectly fine, but since the module is having problems, the screen will not light up, and the computer can go off after boothing.

Have the module checked and replaced and your laptop will be in good condition once again.

ok i think there has to be a prob with your processor go to a professional as until i check it i cant tell what the prob is !!

check it with a monitor from a desktop computer to see if it works plug in the back of laptop.

this is not from office mac 2008 check either you have install iglasses or another software for chating or other purposes try uninstalling that . then restart. rate this

hmm have you tried taking the bottom off and making sure nothing got hot and melted or ruined anything...???

that means your lcd is going south..happens over time..this thing under warranty by chance?

check for Heat issues. Check the HDD, RAM and CPU Temperatures. Something might be causing an issue.
