Make sure the power cord is not loose and there is proper power supply try to connect the power cord in diffrent power unit and check.

Performing a partial reset
Follow the steps below to perform a partial reset of the all-in-one:
  1. Unplug the power cord from the all-in-one.
  2. In the table below, locate the button combination for your model.

NOTE:
If your all-in-one model is not listed in the table, your model does not have a partial reset option.
  1. Press and hold the button combination for your all-in-one.
  2. While still holding the buttons down, plug the power cord back in. Release the buttons after the all-in-one starts up.
  3. (FROM THE TABLE) HP PSC 2170 series --Press and hold Cancel and the Left Arrow while plugging in the power cord.

Printer won't work

Unplug the printer from the power and replug it in, the printer will go through its post(the little dance they do when they start up) and should come back to a ready status.

Go to the HP web site and from there you should be able to download the most up to date driver for your Printer. Also try www.download.com

hi,

what happened to the cd which came along with the printer? lost it or is it ot supported for win 98? anyways you wot get the drivers from the internet. you may have to upgrade your pc to win xp, so that you will get the drivers for the same.
