Model GBS307PDQ5: Oven preheated to 425 degrees. Then tried to lower cooking temp 350 using the up and down keypad. Placed pizza in oven; oven somehow went to clean mode and door locked. Pizza caught on fire; could not turn oven off, could not open door. Opening 220 volt breaker did not turn off top element. Let it sit for about 15-20 min. Oven then turned off, door unlocked. Now all functions work ok, but neither element will heat. I believe, but not sure that I saw a malfunction code F3. Not sure, however. Thanks for your help.

F3 usually means, that the oven temp. sensor is bad and one need to replace it.
The fact, that it's not heating tells me, the fuse in the back also needs to be replaced (requires pulling out).

350 will be the design max for your oven unless the handbook says for your model is higher rated and is faulty
repair or replace with a higher rated temp oven
more than likely there is an issue with one of the temp sensors. you will need to press and hold clear then upper on off at the same time then release them then immed. press clear 3 times and hold on the 3rd till the service screen appears. on the right side you will see internal temp and catalyst temp they should be equal or very close. ill bet one of them is alot higher than the other if so the sensor will need replace but depends which one is bad as there are 2 of them. if the problem is on the lower just repeat above but use lower instead of upper
IS it gas or electric? If it's gas, you may need to have a technician regulate the air and gas. If it's electric your t-stat may need to be replaced. Hope this helps! :>)!

I have just checked the baking guide in the manual and have found that it may not be us after all. (Maybe this is why they telll us to read the whole manual. Well, I never have) According to the cooking time for Baking, the range is very extensive. For example, an angel cake at 350 could take from 28-50 minutes, buscuits at 375-400 could take 8-16 minutes, layer cakes at 350-375 could take 25-40 minutes, pound cakes at 325-350 could take 45-70 minutes and fresh pies at 400-450 could take 35-60 minutes. Basically, the baking directions on the box means absolutely nothing to use Amana oven owners. We have no choice but to cook our food or baked goods until they are cooked, whenever that may be. :) Linda
Sears Kenmore Electric Wall OVen, Mod.#9114012192 purchased in 1993. Set oven for 425 degrees, reaches set temperature, stays on about 10 minutes and temp. display goes out and oven starts cooling down. Will not stay on desired temp.to cook. Can you tell me what my problem is? Thanks. Doug.
