Hard wire into the router (ethernet cable), open a browser and enter the router IP. Usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 Enter default login usually admin/admin or admin/password.
Enable WPA2 /psk security. Disable WPS, UPnP and remote and wireless administration. Change the default password and you will be secure enough.
hi, u may have to install the drivers fitting your windows version from the (mini)cd u purchased with it. if you don|t have it, goto the manufacturers hp and download drivers as well as data manager program for your player at: http://www.archos.com/support/support_tech
If the settings are correct, then it is just like the 605 I had, its broken. Get one made by someone else if the warranty has expired on it. I suggest Pioneer.
If I remember correct, then when I updated my Archos by hard reformat you have to request Archos resend the plug-ins, as long as you have the reciept or email.
On your pc, go to Start\run, type diskmgmt.msc and click ok to take you into Disk Management.
In here, you can associate your drive with a drive letter.
