Get a freezer thermometer and ensure the temp is turned down to between 0 and 10 degrees F.

Ice cream mushy, no fan heard in freezer any more, no suction when I open the freezer door, ice-maker seems to be working -- I turned temp to highest setting -- ice droplets lining back interior wall,...

If the fans not working, replace the fan. You could have a defrost problem that causes evaporator boils to freeze over and may be obstructing fan blades. Check door seals also that they are sealing properly.

Icecream not staying froze meat stays frozen though

Meat is always more dense than frozen dairy product. This soft ice cream issue usually occurs when the circulating fan becomes blocked due to overloading.
Unlike a chest type freezer, top mounted freezers use a fan to circulate to the refrigerator. If the return vents to the freezer become blocked by too many small items, or loose plastic bags the compressor may run too long in an attempt to lower the refrigerator temp,
This may cause the compressor to heat up and kick in the overload safety, further dropping the total temperature.

Ice Cream won't stay frozen it get's all soft and gross. Main things in the freezer stay frozen.

This is an easy one!!
Ice cream needs to be around -5 degrees to +5 degrees to stay frozen (or hard) if the freezer is at like 15 degrees the ice cream will be soft but the rest of the things like meat and ice cubes will be rock solid because anything lower than 32 degrees is freezing for those things. So you might wanna check to see if the fan motor is working and also make sure the condensor coil is free of debris.

Ice cream soft

Ice Cream is the hardest thing to freeze in a fridge /freezer unit , you need a least 0 deg F
to harden ice cream. If the ice cream was satisfactory before the repair and the stat is set to max. it is possible you have an over charger refrigeration circuit.

My ice cream won't stay frozen in my freezer.

Hi: Meat and other frozen foods will be rock solid at 32degrees. Ice cream will be soft it needs 0degrees to be hard. It sounds like your freezer is above 0 degrees. You tried the adjustments. Make sure the coils on the bottom are clean. They will warm a ref if they are dirty. A coil brush from the hardware store or a air compressor (plan on dusting the house when done. Just vaccuuming the front isn't enough. That's an older model but one of the controls affects both the freezer and fresh food. When it's running turn one down; if it turns off the compressor it affects both. The other control is just an air balance, to direct how much air gets to each compartment. I hope this helps, Jeff

Has just one termostat on bottom, freezer won't keep ice cream frozen, although it does keep meat and ice froze

OK send me the model number as found in photo below. You may have a circulation problem that I will be able to look over closer when I have model number. Sea Breeze

Bottom freezer not keeping ice cream frozen

Check out freezer temp - should be around zero degrees. Fact that ice maker is still working would indicate that the temps are at least about 10 degrees. If the door seals are tight and the self defrosting mechanism is working properly, the unit may be low on refrigerant. I had similar situation where stuff was frozen but my ice cream was mushy even though unit was running 24 hours a day.

Freezer not freezing

not freezing icedraem is an issue, bread not so much, different breads contain different ingrediants that may or may not freeze, forst offthough wher is unit located??? in garage??? if so be aware that it may not operate efficiently ion ambient temps lower then 55 degrees, but if this is in your kitchen i would suspect a "refrigeration"/sealed system issue, perhaps "low on charge and not able to maintain a frozen set temp. Meat may stay frozen ( for a little while anyway, but the ice cream is the first to show indications of problem
