VOICEMAIL iCON ALWAYS DISPLAYED

• From the Home screen, tap , then tap Call icon.
• Follow the tutorial to create a password, record a greeting, and record your name.

Note: These steps may be different depending on your network.

Accessing Your Voice Mail

• From the Home screen, tap Call icon, then tap Voice Mail icon. You may be prompted to enter a password.
• When connected, follow the voice prompts from the voice mail center.

Accessing Your Voice Mail From Another Phone

• Dial your wireless phone number.
• When you hear your voicemail greeting, press the asterisk key on the phone you are using.
• Enter your password and you are connected to your Voice Mail.

Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.

Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting.When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.

Check your Voicemail

When you receive a voicemail message, a
notification with a voicemail message icon
appears at the top of your screen.
• At the voicemail notification, select Call to call
your voicemail number and follow the system
prompts to retrieve the message.
Select Ignore to clear the notification without
checking messages. The notification icon
remains on top of the screen until you listen to
the message
• When only the voicemail message icon
appears on top of the screen, select
Voicemailand follow the system prompts
to retrieve the message.

Start by tapping the "Phone" icon on your iPhone.

2 Next, access your voice mail messages by tapping the "Voicemail" icon.

3 Look at your list of current voice messages. If you have any messages that are eligible for recovery, you'll see an item at the very bottom called "Deleted Messages". Tap on this to access a list of your deleted messages.

4 You should now see a list of deleted voice messages. If you see the message that you want to recover, tap on it and choose "Undelete".

5 Your voice message will now be sent back to the main list of current voice mail messages.

6 Repeat steps 1-5 for "each" message you wish to recover. This may take time!

Your provider can remove the voicemail icon on you screen but you have to contact them of course. Sometimes what happens is the voicemail is exited improperly and this then will keep the icon on the screen. What you'll need to do it get back into your voicemail and follow the prompts to exit the system (I believe it is the star button to exit voicemail). What I would do is leave yourself a message, call into your voicemail, delete the message and exit the system. If icon is still on the screen then you have no choice but to contact provider. try leaving yourself a voicemail and then listening to it and deleteing it again this sometimes will clear any glitches in the VM system

This feature is country dependent and may not
appear in some countries.
If you have subscribed to the voicemail service
from your local service provider, icon turns
on when you have a new message in your
mailbox. After you have accessed to all the new
messages, icon will turn off automatically. If
you find that the message waiting indication
cannot be turned off by the network, you can
still turn off the message waiting indication with
your phone by the following step :

In idle mode, if voice mail waiting icon is on,
long press the redial key to turn off the voice mail waiting
icon.
Once you choose to delete the message waiting
indication, all the other handsets registered to
the same base station will turn off the message
waiting indication accordingly.

The voice mail symbol is sent to your handset by the network when you get a voicemail, they then send the handset another message to remove the icon once you have listened to the voicemail... Sometimes an error occurs and the phone doesnt receive the removal message...

Try getting a friend or using another phone send yourself a voicemail, then using your phone, check your voicemails, listen to the one you have and delete it... The icon should go... However if its a hardware fault with the handset display then this will not fix it...

highlight the message in your inbox and press menu. You should have the option to unlock. Select that. tHen you should be able to delete them.
As far as your voicemail...
Call and leave yourself a message and then delete it. This will cause the voicemail system to send a message to your phone to remove the icon.

I had this problem with my phone - ring it from another phone and leave yourself a message, then listen to the message and delete it and that clears it. It worked for me.

this use to be an old virus that was going around it affeced tx msg as well by bombarding your phone with continuess msg contact your service provider and they can reset your voice mail for you they wont charge for this hope this is somr help if not you will have to change service provider but you can keep your same no but they should be able to sort this out over the phone so try calling them first
