Like someone else I have a copy of the original Tomb Raider for PC, but won't install on my new PC with Vista operating system. Error message is: 'D:install.exe This system dies not support full screen mode'

Maybe you should looking for a patch for Vista;cuz the issue,it mean that the game was installed from D drive ;so if it doesn't you have to change the value in the registry,that's it;

1. Uninstall the game. 2. Defrag the hard drive. 3. Re-install the game. 4. Apply the patch (NO COMPATIBILITY MODE). 5. Start the game from the shortcut.

Go to My computer and right click on the disc and select explore, now find the setup.exe file in the folder and right click on it, now select properties, now select the tab marked compatability, now select in the dropdown box "Run as win 95" and click apply/ok.
Now right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as administrator".

I'd say you should go see who installed the operating system on your machine. Otherwise you MUST go to microsoft and buy a new legitamate copy.
All new microsoft products require registration. Running with bootleg software is not recommended

sounds like the tech info was upgraded on ps3 to handle newer technology and the 1 & 2 are not up to this new standard of operating system. Happens to me every time I upgrade my camera. That way they get you to keep buying new products.
