HI, Here i have added picture of Wurlitzer 1015 rear side picture. from this picture you can identify which side you have to remove to see the tubes. In th picture you can see the tubes. two out put tubes. one rectifier and two pre amp tubes(black).
I stock all parts for the Wurlitzer One More Time machines. I have the bubble tubes in stock, with installation instructions. Please contact [email protected].
Undo the 3 'metal' bands by unscrewing from the back. Then squeeze the top of the plastic and pull. It fits like a tyre in a slot on each side. Then you can get to the bubble tube.
It depends how old it is. On the newer type there are two black tags on the ends of the light tube to help you turn it. It twists 90 degrees then pulls out backwards from the sockets along with the colour tube around it.
On the older type you need to remove a screw or two at the top plate, lean it backwards and lift up and out.
The actual light tube slides sideways into the socket and then is rotated 90 degrees so it clicks (quarter turn). It is physically impossible so wurlitzer added a black plastic cap at the top and bottom of the tube with a bit sticking out that you can use to turn the tube. So look at the very top and bottom of the actual light tube and try turning the black part.
I can sell you a replacement bubble tube. They are fairly easy to replace. I just need to know which one you need, straight, small curved or large curved. Rod Stebelton, [email protected].
If both bubble tubes has stopped working on one side then the problem is more likely to be a power issue. Somehow the power is not getting to the tube heaters. On the Wurlitzer OMT there is a small module on the inside of the main door that distributes the power to the various bubble tubes and the page turner (CD models). If the plug is loose or the wire is broken then that could cause one side to be off.
