Seen this a few time, what is happening is both programs is trying to connect to the camera (sorta confusing it)

either A: go into the preferences of the programs and dont let them start up with windows

or B: Go to start, select run, type msconfig, click enter. Select start-up tab and search and disable the start-up of the msn and yahoo applications. then restart

Run yahoo after you restart with no more issues.

How to start up the hp pavillion dv2000 webcam?

Well, the first thing you need to do is you need to decide what type of software to use to run your webcam. For example, you can use yahoo messanger or windows live or msn messanger. Either way, you need run the wizard using the one of the messager tools and you will be all set to go.

Let me know which to use or if you need help setting it up once you decide

HP dv2000 laptop webcam

i would try to uninstall and reinstall your messenger software. restart after uninstall.

If it still fails, try to download the newest drivers for your webcam.

and also check if your webcam works with another messenging program like skype or msn messenger... your firewall on your PC could be blocking the webcam data stream
