If it is under warranty, have it replaced. If not buy the insurance and have it replaced. Depending on what type of phone, it could either be the ringer itself, or a bad software problem. Try removing the battery and with battery removed hold the power button for 20 seconds, and replace battery and see if it works. If not, get a new phone.

My iphone 4 only vibrates, and does not ring on incoming calls.

The iPhone, along with many other phones, has two speakers. The first is the on ear speaker and the second is the speaker at the bottom for playing music and ringtones. The speaker at the bottom could be broken so to check this, just try and use your headphones to play music. If that doesn't work either then it must be a setting on the phone so in that case just have a bit of a play with the sound settings.

No sound from speaker but through ear piece I get sound.

Many devices will automatically switch off the large speaker when ear phones are plugged into them. Also there may be a switch or button or prompt on your radio to switch between regular speaker and ear phone jack. Look for that first.
Try connecting and disconnection ear phones while listening to a station and see if the problem is intermittent. If is works sometimes but not every time then it is most likely an internal connection.
You will have to access the inside of the radio to investigate further. Connect a working external music or sound source with speaker wire to the terminals inside the radio that connect to the radio's speaker. If the radio's speaker works with the external sound source then you know it is a bad connection inside your radio. If the radio's speaker does not work with the external sound source then it is most likely a faulty radio speaker. Look closely for a broken solder point or broken/disconnected wire.

Samsung Rant ... Speaker is muted & cannot hear a thing AT ALL!! There is absolutely NO SOUND on the speaker (ear speaker & loud speaker). Phone makes calls out & rings for incoming calls but...

For the time being have you tried using a head set? I think this is due to the way the sound wires have been soldered together. I would not attempt to try and fix the problem yourself. If the headset doesn't work I suggest it's the way it's been programmed. Btw have you tried looking at your settings?
It might work if you put it on vibration. Does it work when it's off muted?
Hope I cleared a few things up Dr Reed

No sound from speakers

insert the ear/head phone in backpanel sound pin (Green color),

1.if You can hear the sound in ear/Head phone, then the problem is in the speaker.replace the speakers

2.if You can't hear the sound in ear/Head phone, then the problem is in your system audio driver. So Down load the audio driver which is suitable for your system and install it.

Flip up ear speaker stopped working

Sounds like the ear piece connection between the two halves of the phone has been broken. Your "speaker phone" function should still work because the sound comes from the back of the main body of the phone. To the best of my knowledge, this can't be fixed. You will need a new phone. I hope this helps.
