Our garage door will not open all the way. Up until yesterday it worked fine. Then when I came home from work and pushed the button to open the door, the door raised up about 3 inches and stopped. I pushed...

You have either a broken door spring or the drive gear in the motor unit is bad. The drive gear is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor and it will be obvious if it is bad.

Cuisinart grind and brew pot - door holding filter pops open during grinding/brewing.

There is a little cover over a spring. The loops of the spring go inside the screw that holds the cover. The spring ends are against the wall and a small pin connected to the button on the side. Keeps the button locked. Cleaning out dried coffee in the are may help and pam spray may keep it from sticking.

LiftMaster garage door opener won't open. When push button (from either remote or "door-bell" style button on wall), unit makes a slight humming sound for a couple of seconds, then nothing...?

Check the door springs and also the drive gear. The gear is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor unit. It will be pretty obvious if it is going bad. The door spring may be broken.

Our LiftMaster garage door will begin to go up or down when we push the control but will stop. We have to push the control up to 20 time to finally get the door open or close

Sounds like you may have a broken door spring. Also I would remove the cover and check the drive gear. It is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor and may be going bad. If it is it will be obvious.

Remove the cover and take a look at the drive gear. It is white nylon and is just in front of the motor. It is probably stripped. It is a good time to release the door from the opener and try raising it by hand. Your door springs may be weak or possibly broken.

My garage door won't close. I push the remote and

If your springs were sprung it would not be that easy to open. The reason it crashes down is because they have the door balanced good for the door opener.Check on the door opener itself and see where the reset button is.Maybe something was obstructing to not let it open..Look for the reset and that should get you going on the door opening and closing.Just going to have to figure it out why it did that..

Sears Craftsman 1/2Hp Garage Door Opener - Opens on its own

There are three causes for this problem:
1. a remote is sticking or is getting bumped (if the vacation lock is on and it still has phantom operation remotes are not the issue).
2. the logic board could be going bad (if you have the 315Mhz you have a newer operator so this is probably not your issue)
3. the wires to the wall button have a short. Try disconnecting the wall button wires from the operator. If this stopps the phantom operaton you might solve your issue by running new wires to your wall button.
