SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-52531 not working after replacing

Check to make sure the lamp is in correctly and that you've closed everything up properly. If you don't close the cover, the sensors will tell the computer in the TV that the door is open and won't let the TV turn on.

Other than that, could be a bad lamp or bad ballast.

Always buy OEM lamps, or better-than-oem equivalents! Philips lighting is the best lamp manufacturer out there for these TVs. They invented the thing!

Buy from Authorized distributors, and don't buy the "cheap" stuff. savnig 20 bucks will cost you more in the long run--believe me!

SOURCE: the lamp light is blinking

You may have not plugged the lamp in fully or have not put the lamp door back properly. If you have done this properly and have the blinking problem then you are likely to have a bad ballast. This ballast supplies the voltage to light up the lamp. But first look on the front of the set for a small push button that says "system restore/reset". Use a ball point pen to press.

SOURCE: What does it mean when the status light is

When the status light is blinking push the device and menu buttons on the tv at the same time and hold for 5 seconds or more. The red light will then blink a code. It will blink like 3 times, pause, then blink like 5 times. That would be a code of 35. It may blink one time long, then two short blinks. That is not a code blink but indicates another problem. Do a search for the service manual for your tv on the internet and look up the code. Sometimes it is as simple as a dirty fan that won't turn any more. But by knowing the codes you will know if you need a technician or if it is something simple.

SOURCE: red light mitsubishi wd-52531 what do i do

red light indicates that your tv is getting 5V. supply from power supply. but it does not indicate that microcontroller which is responsible for functioning of tv is working. if you are a technical able person then you can check micro controllers' power supply, its oscillation, its reset voltages, its key matrix, & infrared receiver. so you will be sure where the fault is. or you may call an tv repair expert.
