MyMusix PD201 says there's no files on SD

My mymusix pd201 is saying that my SD card has nothing on it even though I just downloaded music to it from Windows Media Player (I've never used the MP3 before). I don't have the cable for the MP3 and so I downloaded strait to the SD card. Is there an update or something I need to get this working?

SOURCE: how to clear the mp3 player and put new songs on it

Take off the USB cap on the side, and plug that end into the USB of a computer. The "My Computer" window should open and the screen on the mp3 should turn on. At this time, you can copy/paste songs onto the new drive that appears. (probably drive F: or D: ) When you're done, make sure to unmount the drive. On some Windows computers, there will be a new icon on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Right click that and choose "safely remove hardware". Then click "stop", then "OK". When it says you can remove it, make sure the mp3 doesn't have a loading animation. (not the battery animation)

On Unix computers, right click the drive on the desktop and choose "unmount". Make sure you wait for the loading animation on the mp3 to finish. Then you can remove the mp3 from the USB port.

To remove songs, you do the same thing, but instead of copying and pasting, you just select the songs you don't want on it and choose delete. (If you're on a Unix computer, delete the ".trash" folder as well(it's a hidden file) or else the songs will remain.)

There's also a way to transport files back and forth with Windows Media Player, but I haven't tried it yet.

SOURCE: computer dosen't recognize Mymusix Mp3

if the device has a reset button you may be able to use that to clear your settings back to factory defaults, check with your user manual, but sometimes that helps. It shouldn't erase what is already on it, but if you can't download music to it, it shouldn't be a problem if it does. Occasionally in the settings there is a different protocol, which means the language in which it talks to the computer and you may be able to switch that protocol to talk to the computer as well. Additionally, check in My Computer if you have Windows, a lot of times it's just listed as an extra storage device in there. If you want more specific information please post what type of computer you have, what version of Windows, and what exactly you're doing when you hook up the MP3 player and what/if the computer does.

MyMusix PD-6030 MP3 Player says license expired

Are the files MP3 files or WMA files? This sounds like a DRM (digital rights management) limitation of the music you are using. MP3 files don't have DRM - and shouldn't exhibit this problem. WMA files can have licenses associated with them and only allow number of copies to be made for personal use before their license disables further use - as it sounds is occurring in your case.

Delete music from pd-6070

The MyMusix device software is buggy and prone to break downs from time to time. Reformatting the device usually fixes these problems. The best way to reformat is to use the manufactures firmware update process.

Go to the MyMusix.com website and download and install the firmware upgrade for the PD-6070 player using the download drop-down menu.

Back up all of the songs on your player to your computer hard drive.

Carefully read (or better yet print for future reference) the PD-6070 FAQ instructions for running the firmware upgrade, especially the drop down to select the US version of the firmware.

Run the firmware upgrade. It will reformat your device and restore it to it's original capacity.
