Camera turns on and off automatically

Sanyo VPC-S1085 digtal camera will let the shutter lens fully extract and then it cuts off automatically. I've replaced the batteries with new ones and still have the same problem. Does this camera have a factory reset button somewhere?

Two ways to reset a camera: 1. go into the menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. 2. Remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

What is frame number reset on my sanyo vpc-s1085. I read the manual and the answer is vague. what is it for do I cancel or execute? I'm also trying to find out how to let the numbers for the...

If you decide to reset the numbers, your camera will start numbering the new pictures from 000 all over again. This can cause problems when you try to download because your computer will think you've already downloaded pics with those numbers. Don't reset....your camera will continue to number the pics consecutively even after you download and empty the card.

My camera was dropped while looking at some pictures, now the lens is stuck and won't open or tun on. How do i fix this?

This usually means the camera is broken. When it was dropped the lens mechanism most likely broke. No one repairs cameras, so your best bet is to get a new one.

Lens Errors 17 & 27 on Sanyo VPC-E760

My camera was showing lens error 12&25 and then shutting off. I tried gently trying to twist and pull the furthest out part of the lens and it popped back into place easily. It made a noise when it did this, and then i turned the camera off, and the lens went back in!! Completely fixed now!!

I have a VPC-E760 sanya digital camera and i dont know how to change the shutter speed

This is a fully automatic camera so it's not possible to set the shutter speed directly.
All you can do is to choose one of the "scene" modes according to the situation you want to capture:

You can download the manual from the link underlined in blue below:

My sanyo camera is not working

Well maybe I can solve this..... My lens would not retract and showed two error messages. Tried a number of tricks that have been recommended on this site to no avail. Ultimately what worked for me was pushing quite hard on the barrel of the lens trying to force it back in ( yeah i know, sounds extreme but did'n't think it could make the situation any worse ). The lens remained in the locked out position not moving in spite of the fact that I pushed it fairly hard. When I turned it on the lens retracted and it appears to be fully recovered from whatever was ailing it. Hope this works for you.
