Linksys is an American organization offering information organizing equipment items essentially to home clients and independent companies. Its items incorporate wired and remote switches, Ethernet switches, VoIP hardware, remote Internet camcorders, varying media items and system stockpiling frameworks.
Linksys was established in 1988 by the couple Victor and Janie Tsao, both Taiwanese settlers to the United States. They were acquired by Cisco in 2003, and sold to Belkin, the present proprietors, in 2013.[1][2] Its items were marked as Linksys by Cisco when it was a piece of Cisco

You need to check the ip address of your actiontec router, the default ip address of linksys router is 192.168.1.1, they should not be the same or else you will not able to connect the router to the internet.

To access the router web configuration

Let me also give you the site on how to add the linksys router to another existing router.

The linksys has 4 LAN port and 1 "Internet" port on the back - we ONLY use the LAN ports NEVER the Internet port - because your existing router is connected to the Internet - your linksys is connected to the LAN

My DHCP is not assigning a dynamic address to one of my seven wired devices. I've had to switch over to a stati

On the second router just plug a port cable in from your main routers port into the wan port and then be sure to change the second routers gateway and IP address to a different number. Say that your main router IP is 198.18.1.1 and for your second router IP you could use 10.10.10.1 or what ever combo you want and then you should be able to use both routers together. Is this what you are trying to do?
Linksys routers as well as all routers with DHCP enabled should be able to handle up to 255 separate IP address's for a LAN network. Is the firmware of the Linksys the latest? If not, down load the latest firmware and flash the router to update it. Or, check out third party firmwares like Tomato to flash that tired Linksys and turn it into a real router.

I want to use my Linksys WRT54G as a bridge going thru Verizon FIOS 9100EM. What settings needs to be changed on the 9100?

You really don't need to change anything on the 9100 but with the router yes. And setting up the Linksys router depends on how the 9100 was configured. Just let me know if you still need more help.

Nonexistant customer service by Actiontec

After my second call to Actiontec ended with the help desh hanging up on me, Actiontec did respond to an emailed plea for help and prompty provided a complex script which they labeled confidential to address this problem. The bottom line seems to be Verizon either installed hardware that is incompatable with an Exchange server or they did not configure the insallation correctly. In so many words, Actiontec feels it is a Verizon problem. I wish me luck in getting to the right place to deal with that, even though I am a Verizon stockholder.

Using Linksys WRT54G as router connected to ActionTec with FIOS

You must keep everything on the same subnet. Only allow the router to be DHCP and keep everything on 192.168.1.x subnet. You are going to have alot of problems talking across subnets

Dropping wireless connection

The problem may not be with your router. I had a situation a year ago with the modem dropping the signal everyday. I spent hours on the phone with verizon tech support to no avail. They sent someone out to my home and he put a filter on the main line coming into the house which didn't resolve the issue. Then verizon insisted the modem was bad so they sent me an actiontec. Turns out that the problem had nothing to do with me. They try to squeeze as much bandwith at their switching stations as they can. They switched me over to another hub and viola no more problem.
