Make sure you're using an SD card, 2GB or smaller. This camera will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

SOURCE: Casio Exilim won't turn on when memory card is inserted

It sound like a bent pin issue. Look at the bottom of the memory card slot, you probably bent one or more of the contactor pins. Use a small screwdriver and carefully try to straight the bent pin then carefully put the memory card back in. From now on, use a USB cable for downloading your pictures and don't pull the card out anymore as the pin is probably weaker than before and can break. Good luck !

SOURCE: system error when turn on my CASIO EXILIM EX-Z3

A system error is a major error that needs to be sent in. There is nothing that we can do at home to fix that one. Sorry.

SOURCE: my casio Z80 says "card error"

solved it! whell, at least after the 'card error' thing, just go into the menu 'configuration' (even when the build-in-memory card is blocked you can go to the menu) and choose option 'format', it will erase everything but after that it worked for as well the inner memory as well the card.

cheers!

SOURCE: I dropped my CASIO EXILIM EX-S770 7.2 7 MP

just force it back in - it happened to me and i had to pull it pretty hard but figured that it was broken anyway so might as well give it a go - camera worked fine afterwards!

SOURCE: i have a Casio EXILIM EX-S10 "Memory Full" Error

Firstly, charge your battery fully. This should solve the switching off. It sounds to me like your card isn't in correctly, or is incompatible, and your internal memory is full. (it usually only stores a few photos for emergencies) Have a look at the type of card you have. If it says SDHC, or is 4GB or larger, it is not compatible with your camera and you need to get a 2GB. If not, it may not be inserted correctly. Push it all the way into the slot and it will click when it's in properly. Then try formatting it. Press review (where you look at the photos) and scroll down to setup- then look for 'format' and press okay. This should sort everything out. You can also copy the photos you've taken in the meantime from the memory to the card by pressing copy in the review menu and scrolling to the right. Hope that helps

My Casio Exim 12 mp camera showing card is locked, it's not alowing to take any snap. Pls help me...

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Last time i used it wasworking fine next day got a 'card error'

Did you try formating the memort stick.
This will clean up any error in the stick.
Don't let the battery in the camera run to low, messes with the flash memory.

Card Error

try going to wolf camera or ritz camera they have a 512 meg chip for about 8 bucks put it in your camera and see if you can format it and take pictures. I have seen in the past that the 2 gig chips are frauds they are smaller chips formatted to a 2 gig compositor. They have been going around quite abit. if that does not work then the camera has a defective sd port and should be able to be replaced from where you got it. if they will not repair it then call casio you can find their number at www.casio.com/us then under contact us. Casio should fix it if you bought it from a retail store send them your receipt. That what they ask for to see when the warranty started. Hope this helps.

Casio camera card error

It could be either a brand that is not supported or there could be something wrong with your card. Casio only recommends Sandisk, Toshiba and Panasonic memory cards. Try one of those brands and make sure you format it with your camera before trying to save pics to it.
