If anyone knows where the semiconducter fuse is i think mine blew according to another post here , and is it hard to replace?? if someone has or knows about this problem email me djrix1@ gmail.com i bought the service manual, this is what caused my problem i touched metal against the circuit board display when it was on, and the results our no sound, no display , jog display, but powers up and reads loads the cds,
After looking online, and finding no definitive answers to this problem, I took the plunge, and did it myself, and now have a working player. Take the bottom cover off the cdj, you're now looking at the main motherboard marked 'DWX2303 MAIN', cast your eyes up to the top of the board where it is marked 'CAUTION' and 'ATTENTION', now look slightly down diagonally left, and now you'll see six black components in a rough line, immediately below the white ribbon cable connector. These components are half round, black, with a straight edge, and look like three pin transistors, but are in fact IC voltage protectors, and have only two legs. They are labelled on the circuit board as 'IC101 to IC106' respectively. The one that had failed on mine is labelled up on the circuit board as 'IC106 ICP-N10'.
By placing mutimeter probes across the legs, and testing for continuity you'll find the failed one(open circuit=fail).
It seems this is quite a common failure on these players, but happily, replacement IC protectors can be found on ebay for about £12.00.
There is a line of these fuses next to the power supply connector on the main board
