When using a DVI to HDMI cable from my projector to my AV Receiver, when trying to play a Blu Ray I get a notification from my projector saying, "Please check Digital Signal Sel." I have a HDMI to HDMI cable running between my blu ray player and AV receiver. I have the digital signal sel. set to "video GBR" if I switch it to computer, I just get a fuzzy screen. I only receive this error message when trying to play a blu ray, I can use the same DVI to HDMI cable to watch cable TV just fine. I have the cable tv box running to the AV receiver via a HDMI cable as well. Any suggestions?

You might have to change the input or start playing blu-ray disc and then change input via the remote to your projector. Make sure it's HDMI out on blu-ray if choice is given and HDMI in on projector.
The Sharp XR-30X will display 720P and 1080i. The Blu-Ray player is trying to send 1080P which requires a handshake. It sounds like you might have to go into the Blu-Ray player and tell it to use 1080i.
switch the HDMI cables around to make sure its not one of them, if the problem is one of them it will move with the cable,if no change i would suspect the coaxial cable next.
Hi, You have connected from PC to TV right??? 1.To get the video you have to connect to TV 2.Please take a separate cables for to listen audio and to watch video, for audio connect cables from DVD Player to Home Theater you can listen the audio for video please connect the HDMI video to TV Where You can enjoy both.
I am posting this to try and get everyones audio problem for this receiver fixed. If you only connected the HDMI cable to the 510, you will not get sound. This receiver passes through HDMI only, no processing of audio. You must either connect a fiber optic or digital coax to the 510 for that respective HDMI input from the BD player, the DVD HDMI only accepts digital coax, and the Video2 HDMI only accepts fiber optic. If you BD player does not have digital coax out for audio, you must move the connection to Video2 HDMI and connect fiber optic to the Video2 fiber input. Sony butchered the whole purpose of HDMI with this receiver. Hope this heps you. By the way, it is hardware, no firmware update will correct this.
Is Yamaha HTR-640 a receiver? Try HDMI from PS3 to receiver or Sony HDTV. If HDMI from PS3 to receiver the you need and HDMI from receiver to out Sony HDTV. You could connect everything to receiver and HDMI out to HDTV. You can not have an HDMI cable AND an optical cable coming out of the PS3, only one or the other.
Its something wrong in the cables connection try to reconnect them! And make sure that the connection is perfect according to manual then try it. It should work nicely. Moreove HDMI has great sound + picture effect.
I've had a problem with the HDMI connector, had it replaced twice while my VPL-HS60 was under warranty. This connector seems very fragile, the first time I was not getting any signal from HDMI, so the repair shop ordered a new connector and replaced it, a couple of days after the it was not working again and found that they had to solder it back on the board. If you're not getting a signal from HDMI anymore that could be your problem.
