YOU CHECK FLOAT LEVEL LOOKING AT THE SIGHT GLASS ON THE RIGHT OF THE CARBURETOR.FUEL LEVEL SHOULD ALIGN WITH THE DOT ON THE SIGHT GLASS.IF THE LEVEL IS ABOVE OR UNDER THE DOT THE CARBURETOR HAS TO BE DISASSEMBLED.TO SET FLOATS REMOVE AND INVERT THE AIR HORN UNTIL THE FLOAT ARM JUST TOUCHES THE NEEDLEVALVE OR THERE IS ABOUT 0.1 mm OR 0.004 INCH CLEARANCE BETWEEN THEM.MEASURE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE AIR HORN GASKET INSTALLED.AND THE CENTER OF THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOAT.THE DISTANCE SHOULD MEASURE 36.4 mm 1.39 - 1.47 INCH. ADJUST BY TURNING THE NEEDLE VALVE SEAT.BE CAREFUL NOT TO ALLOW THE VALVE SEAT TO PROTRUDE FROM THE SEAT ATTACHING BOSS.WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE VALVE TO FALL.IF THIS IS THE CASE BEND THE FLOAT ARM SLIGHTLY UNTIL PROPER CLEARANCE CAN BE OBTAINED.WHEN CARBURETOR IS INSTALLED CHECK FLOAT LEVEL BY LOOKING INTO THE CARBURETOR FLOAT SIGHT GLASS I MENTION IN INFORMATION ABOVE.IF YOU HAVE A 1487cc AND 1600cc CVCC MODELS WITH THE KEIHIN 3 BARREL CARBURETOR.THIS WOULD DEALERSHIP JOB.THIS TYPE IS HARD TO ADJUST.

Does a honda ballade 150i have a crankshaft sensor

what year? They've been made with many changes since 1980. I would take the dist cap off and see if it spins when the motor turns. If not, then the timing belt or something else is wrong. If it does, then the dist may be bad. (it's sold as a Honda Civic in the USA)

Changing the timing belt on a 1980 honda civic

Hi Sumbreez, The Civic uses a timing belt which requires replacement every hundred thousand kl. I'm not sure if it has a clearance engine, but have a vague memory of the valves being damaged if the belt breaks. If the valve are damaged, it is more than a possibility that the pistons and maybe the con rods will also be damaged. To answer the rebuild question, is one you will need to answer yourself, as that will depend on your global location. If you're in Africa with little cash, rebuild it. If you're in the States with little cash and prepared to do it yourself rebuild it. If you're in the States with little cash and need to have a workshop rebuild it, throw it away. Regards John

Were is the float chamber on i honda civic

The float chamber is in the underside of the carburator if this is a carburated car.
If the float is in fact shutting off the fuel to the carburator the engine should still run on the fuel in the float bowl. Unless it is a very long sharp turn. Have you tried standing still and just turning the wheel hard to the right and see id the engine cuts out ? If it does you may have an exposed wire that touches somewhere when steering is all the way over to one side.
Hope this helps

I have a 1980 honda accrod 1.8 li....

The nob on the back is the idel set., the float adjustments are the 2 recessed areas on diverside on top of carb.. Be aware by turning to try to set float can cause problems. If you do turn be sure to count number of turns for each so you can reset to original settings if carb starts to flood or starve. What are you trying to acheive?
